November 9, 2002 | This Is Far More Work Than I Had Thought
UPDATES MADE - None
CURRENT NEWS - ::Rubs her eyes:: Ack! My eyes are starting to hurt. I'm SO out of practice of doing this. Oi. I've forgotten how much hard work it is to make a site. It would be even more helpful if I could remember all of the font names that I ever used and what they looked like again. At any rate, the Zelda 3 Monster Strategy Guide is coming along... slowly. Anyways, this will be my last update until my return, though I will be still working. When I do return, my first update will be the actual loading of all this stuff I have done in the past. So, yes, you will see it again more than once.
COMMENTARY - Well, Tata, until I finally return. ^_^ I can't wait to chat with you again. ::Blinks:: I need to start getting back into my MagicFox guise, once more. I'm sure you guys have noticed that it's been a loooong while since I made an appropriate MagicFox Joke (lame but with the mastered skill only I have ;) )
November 8, 2002 | Not MORE Waiting - This Is Harsh
UPDATES MADE - None
CURRENT NEWS - More... news. Anyways. We got the call today from the idiots at the phone company. Ok, here's the news, we placed in the order... the only thing is... more WAITING. DSL will be activated in our area in 5-10 business days (one to two weeks). So, that means DSL will be activated from the 15-22. And then my Dad has to get it all hooked up... which really shouldn't take too long... uhh... depending on how often he's home. His crew just got the boat again so... his schedule's going to be freaky. Well, AT LEAST IT WILL BE ON BEFORE HE LEAVES FOR THE BOAT!! ((Which would mean I wouldn't talk to you guys until February... which is why I didn't want it to wait till Jan 1. My Mom has no clue about this stuff!))
COMMENTARY - There irony for you... I said I might be returning on the 1st or the 15th and the 5th business day is the 15th. Isn't that a little bit STRANGE. ^_^ It seems God's trying to cover up for my lie that I made to everyone... uhh... white lie, really. Anyways, Starfe, you and Skull now have a countday. 5 to 10 working days before your amount of freedom is reduced to 0! >:] I'm coming back!! And then I'll have LOTS of time to work on MCLoZ. From 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. Ick, that's going to be harsh. My family is not going to go easy on me with that. Mom's already saying that at night the computer is HERS. So... I guess I'm going to have to attempt to snag the computer during those Friday-Sunday nights... somehow, just to be able to chat with my buddies. This is gonna be difficult. I think I rather liked it before I left school.
November 7, 2002 | News Flash: MagicFox To Be Returning SOON!
UPDATES MADE - None
CURRENT NEWS - This IS news!! Ok, to explain my abscence. I was feeling very forlorn and did not bother to work on MCLoZ because for a while my parents were considering to just give up and make the Internet and stuff only due to be turned on Jan. 1st. Want to know why? No, don't get mad at my Mum and Dad. My Mum's brother is dieing, ok. And then, the phone company turns off our cellphones because of one late payment in May that all of us just caught now.... does that make sense to you guys? Anyways, they were planning on the 15th to use the money to pay the bill so... no Internet. And with Xmas coming up... *sigh*. Now, today, here's a little thin slice of Heaven for you ^_^.
Remember my complaints that they still hadn't payed my Dad ALL the money. They still hadn't. Three days ago my Dad once again (the 6th time) turned in the form and made some serious complaints. And today... ^_^ WE FINALLY RECEIVED THAT DAMNED MONEY!! Which turned on my Mum's phone so she can talk to Dittie (I've never called him Uncle... like most of my family he isn't really close... and well, I've only met him once, though he is my Mum's favorite brother. The guy is a BIG sweet heart... but has some problems... his drinking has caught up with his liver... there's more to that but it's only family concerned, sorry to keep you in the dark.) And then we had a flip over cable or the Internet... which will be turned on now and which will wait until Jan 1st. ^_^ Here's a hint: the cable will be turned on Jan 1st. HAHAHAHAHA!
We have already put in the call for it to be turned on, so there's no going back now. YES! Now... here's the next problem. GA sucks. I've never made a secret of that fact. So, here's what the creeps did to my Dad: they gave him the number to the company's phone-box, where you leave a message and they get back to you BUT THEY ONLY WORK ONE TO TWO WORKDAYS. And then, once they do contact us, we have to wait for the b*st*rds to flip the switches. So... what's the time period. ANYONE'S GUESS. [Highly Annoyed]. So... I guess I will be talking to you guys then.
Now... I've been thinking... what am I going to put up when I first get back online... GOD! At first I thought of temporarily closing MCLoZ down so I could catch up with mail and stuff. Then I'm thinking... Maxine dear... you're going to make these poor people wait even LONGER. No, Starfe, you don't have to hit me on the head with a rickenbacker, I already beat you to it. ;) I will just put this up and then do what I have always done in the past. Catch up slowly and update whenever I can. I have all the things I need to update listed anyway, so it really shouldn't be that hard.
COMMENTARY - What more is there to say? ... You know, it's just occured to me that I should probably mention this to Starfe. Remember that bit problem we use to have with my moniter. You remember, the resolution was VERY VERY dark? I don't believe I ever mentioned that my Dad, the computer genius, tore the monitor open and fixed it. ^_^ Just thought you might want to know. This will make looking at your graphics MUCH better.
I have also been reading over my past updates. There at the last I'm constantly mentioning Blou Bagel. Hahahaha... I sorta forgot to even acknowledge him on the site. *Sigh* I have decided that I will make a spot on the Staff Members page for both him and Max, my cat. Their jobs are both the same: get Maxine off the computer and realize there IS another world she is living in. They are both working together for the same goal. "Get our food, get our water" "Maxine pet me" "Maxine play with me".... and then Blou wants out the back while Max wants out on our screened in porch (which I have dubbed my Writing Room). Anyways... ok, I have excepted Blou into our family. While my opinion has not changed (I DON'T like dogs)... he's becoming managable.... uhh... within limits.
October 29, 2002 | I Have A Fun Game To Play When I Return
UPDATES MADE - None
CURRENT NEWS - None
COMMENTARY - Ok, ok, sorry, but when you know nobody's reading this anyway it's kinda hard to motivate yourself to do a little bit of work, especially when there are far more interesting things to handle. I've been playing it for a while and I'm surprised I haven't mentioned it before. Ever since we set up the Den, I've had this game loaded up to keep me company. I'm not one of the best at it, in fact, I'm just sticking to Beginner level when I'm not playing adjusting the features myself. ...I think I'll do a Game Review on it. It's called Majesty: the Fantasy Kingdom Sim. I wonder if Starfe's heard of it. He'd probably enjoy it. It also says on the game that it can be played Multiplayer on MSN Gaming Zone... the game's been stored for a year or more so I wonder if this is still accurate. I hope so. ::Shrugs:: It'd be good to compete against others for a change. We got it for my Mum's b-day a year (or was it two years) ago. She's really fascinated by the Sim City games - I never have been so don't even try talking to me about it! She saw it in the store one day and thought it might be interesting, so we bought it for her. Needless to say, she doesn't like it. I've never played a Sim City game but she tells me it is nothing like it. So, one day I'm bored, I'm so bored I'm thinking about seeing what all the hubbub is about those silly Sim City games when I happen across the manual to play Majesty. ^_^ It's VERY interesting. I'll do a review on it later. Right now, it is 8:00 a.m. and I have to go get a shower and then do my chores (clean kitchen, living room, and the MagicFox's Den).... it sucks being out of school and unemployed. I hope this changes soon. Housework ... YUCK! :P
Anyways, my Mom gets paid Wednesday... let's cross our fingers that she'll get the Internet, with any luck I'll be checking mail this time next week. And since she is doing a field trip (you all know she's a school bus driver, yes?) today, that will definitely contribute. ^_^
October 23, 2002 | Hee, Finally, I Have Once Again Saved Hyrule!
UPDATES MADE - None
CURRENT NEWS - I'm going to re-do that Heart Piece section
COMMENTARY - Alright, I have to thank Moiph for his "Secrets" page which lead me to find the last HP... *cough* I must apologize to my "map"... it was right. The HP was in that spot... I just didn't have enough sense to try using the candle on the trees... *cough*. And I have finally completed Quest 1 in 4 days with 23 deaths <--- about 10 of those are due to saves. Geez gaks! And I thought Ganon was heard in Z3! At least then you could light torches and see him. I was rather surprised though by the fact that that battle isn't too far away from that one, either once you get to the point where he has blown those torches out. My instruction booklet also made it very clear about two things: where the heck the final dungeon was and how to defeat him: "But if Link could only use the magical sword and some other object, he'll manage to topple the might Ganon." ::Rolls her eyes:: Ok, I'm sure I would have been a little bit clueless if I hadn't play Zelda 3, but... Oi... Anyways, the booklet hints where the dungeon is "in the depths of Death Mountain" *snickers* and there's one spot up there that looked vaguely familiar. It didn't pop into my head for about an hour though what the heck it reminded me of - Spectacle Rock in Z3!! ::Shakes her head:: I wish I had played Z1 before Z3, I would have enjoyed these little similarities all the more.
Ok... now one question hangs in the air. Since I am done with Q1 and I know how to access Q2 even if my game gets deleted... do I want to play Q2 or do I want to move along to the next Zelda game. Hrrrm...
That reminds me of something else. I had a bit of a freak moment while battling in Level 9... the game froze!! As I have stated before, if I mess with the cartridge and turn it on and the game messes up because it's not in right, there goes my game. It continued doing it and I was forced to wiggle it around and risk it, praying it wouldn't screw up - it didn't. But it froze up once again. I had to sit back and think for a moment why it would just start this now when it worked great the last 3 days. Can anyone explain this to me... I realized I was shutting the flap closed which I had done yesterday night during cleaning to make it look neater, you know, and I was playing it like that the entire time. I opened it and... the game didn't freeze on me ... could that be it, possibly. It seems a little far fetched, perhaps just coincidence... but... could it? Future reference: I'm not closing the flap and risking it.
23 More Days... ((My Mom says now that she'll TRY to get it the 1st, but no promises. So, it's like I said to Starfe and the gang. I will be back either the 1st or the 15th. It's good to know I wasn't lieing afterall ^_^))
October 22, 2002 | Almost Finished With Quest 1
UPDATES MADE - None
CURRENT NEWS - I looked over the Heart Piece Guide and.... I'm sorta in trouble. It seems the person who did it had no idea what they were talking about. I just simply cannot find that last Heart Piece for my game and I'm at Level 8 so I don't really think I could not be able to get anything. I believe I have it all but for the Red Ring - I've got the Magic Book already. Anyways, I really don't think there's anything I could be missing. And then my... "map" doesn't have a Heart Piece marked in that spot... but.. then again the place it has the last HP marked doesn't make any sense, either. When I come back I'm going to seriously get to work on that section myself. Hopefully I can hook up a Staff Member, but if not, I'll just have to have some buddies help me while I do the section.
COMMENTARY - ::Laughs:: God I get lucky in this game. Level 7 nearly tripped me up when I had no where else to go. So, I went through and just started bombing some walls, hoping to find something. I have to admit, though, some of it wasn't luck since I had caught snatches of what to do while reading all of those pathetic walkthroughs I've been forced to read. No, the fact that they helped me does not improve my opinion about them whatsoever. I could do a very fine job of making a walkthrough already for this game. ... There's only one thing that I haven't made sense out of at all. The Pols Voice, in the booklet it says he "hates loud noise." Then in a note down at the bottom of the booklet in red on another page it says "Link will surprise himself if he hits upon Pols Voice's weak point. Do this by... Sorry! That's a secret!" I'm no dumbie. I have played and beaten all of the other Zelda games besides these first two and in every game I have come up against a Pols Voice playing music defeats him. Besides, "loud noises" is fairly obvious. WHAT OTHER THING IN THE GAME MAKES NOISE BESIDES BOMBS AND THE WHISTLE?!?! ....And yet I have tried both and not a single one of those items has any effect whatsoever! ::Blinks:: Is this game booklet trying to throw me off? Oi... Anyways, 23 more days.
October 21, 2002 | NES - Resurrected Once More From Death
UPDATES MADE - None
CURRENT NEWS - I'm thinking about reorganizing those Heart Container Locations on the Zelda 1 page.
COMMENTARY - It's amazing what one can do when they are bored and frustrated. I spent yesterday morning opening up my NES (with the help of my Dad) and cleaned the thing out a little and used of can of pressurized air to clean what I could of my Zelda cartridge (things like that are just sooo nifty!). And after a few aggrivating moments I actually managed to get my original NES to work as well as get it to play The Legend of Zelda. ...That took a while. ::Snickers:: The first ten or so tries the game acted like it was possessed... and of course wiped out the last attempt I had made to play the game some year ago or so. It is now with stubborn resignation that I will KEEP the cartridge in there instead of taking it out. >:] Why mess with it when I have it all perfect? After I'm done beating both quests I'll move to Zelda 2.
::Laughs:: And this really makes the game fun! I have dabbled with the game on the Rom, but... I must be forced to admit that with any Real-Time Battle game on the computer... I suck at it! My hands just aren't that good on a keyboard and I don't have one of those Rom controllers. Even Z3 which I play very well on the TV has a tendancy to give me problems on the computer. ::Laughs again:: Yesterday I made it to dungeon 3 without a single death!! God I'm good! I am currently working on Dungeon 5 but I have discovered something. I'm playing around with the game and then I decide I might as well try to catch up on my Heart Pieces. ;) Me having a Zelda site helps immensely. I pull it up and... I choke. Umm... which of these HPs are for Quest 1, 2, or both? Like, for example, the Graveyard... there says there's a HP, but when I tried to move the headstone... nothing budged. Do I need something else or is it for only Q2. :\ I think I'm going to really watch what I do as I play and I'm going to straighten a few things out considerably. I wonder if I've had any takers yet for a Staff Member for this game. That section SERIOUSLY needs help, people. Oi... 24 More Days...
October 19, 2002 | Goal: To Finish The Walkthrough Before I Return
UPDATES MADE - The Legends of Zelda >> LoZ: A Link to the Past >> Monster Strategy Guide *Sections XII-XVII Monsters Added
CURRENT NEWS - Yeah, I spent all morning working on that. One or two of the Monsters don't have pictures... oh well... And alot of the others... Starfe is going to get the assignment of getting me ALL new pictures for every monster .... except the ones he's already redone. ^_^ I don't know if any of you remember our first Monster Guide attempt, but we SERIOUSLY deformed the pictures - and thought it looked good. ::Rolls her eyes:: Newbies are so simple minded *sigh* and we were no better. Also, since I'm nearing the finish of both guides, I promise I will go through and edit where I need to. And then, with just the Monster Guide, I'll see if I can't get in contact with an old Staff Member who didn't quite make it... anyone remember Ganon? If I can locate his e-mail address I'll have him go through and double check my facts, correct any names and so forth. ::Looks at the length of the guide:: *Cough* And I think I'm going to have to put the guide into a new design. It's starting to burst at the seams with its incredible length. ::Blinks:: How many monsters are there? *Counts* Currently 56 monsters and 8 bosses, 56+8=64. So that many with each one's full information ... THAT'S A LOT for just one page.
COMMENTARY - *Sigh* That UPDATES MADE line just looks so pathetic these days. ::Goes back through the Updates archive:: God I can't wait to have that line stretched out once more with at least five more items. I miss it soooo much. 26 More Days Until the Internet Returns. Well, better go get back on the Walkthrough.
October 18, 2002 | It's Official!! What A Wonderful Day!!
UPDATES MADE - The Legends of Zelda >> LoZ: A Link to the Past >> The Walkthrough *Sections XVI and XVII Added
CURRENT NEWS - I've made a few changes to the walkthrough along with getting it up to Crystal Maiden #4. Plus I'm working hard to get the Monster Guide up to par as best I can and made a few crucial decisions. Starfe, I hope you are going to be ready when I get back, because I've got a tall order for you coming up... but then, didn't you say you wanted one due to your boredom? You'll probably live to regret those words.
COMMENTARY - Hee... I sorta had a heart attack yesterday. After making all those joyous announcements about my return on the 1st or 15th I must admit that I walked into it. *Cough* Ok, I was speculating and in my own mind it turned into solid reality. I never knew for sure if I would return on either of those dates, just in my mind I didn't see why Mum and Dad wouldn't have the bills caught up. Last night they were talking and they told me that Dad doesn't get his raise until December and HEY! they still haven't paid him the back pay for the damned trip - I know I do try not to swear on my site and Lord knows Starfe is probably going to have a heart attack from even some of the comments I posted below but... allow me for I cannot restrain myself - THOSE GODDAMNED NAVY BASTARDS!!! ::Coughs nervously and blushes:: Ok, moving along with my story.... So anyways my parents tell me yesterday that it is unlikely that we will get the Internet until after Xmas. I FREAKED but I kept silent because I knew it was not their fault and there's nothing they can do about it. So I sat once more in silent misery and was already making plans for the e-mail to Starfe, Jazz, and Skull the next time I took a trip to the library. That was in the morning.
Then in the afternoon we slipped back to the subject again of pay. Then I rather tentatively ask - "So, then it's final. I'm not going to get the Internet back until at least December?" Mom might be harsh but she's like all Moms, hard on the outside but soft on the inside and she knows how much it's hurting me to be away from my friends - I do chat with IRL buddies on here!! Anyways, we talk. Then Mom asks ,"how much is DSL here anyway?" Dad says, "Only about 100 for the initial hook-up, but after that about 35." Mom's jaw drops. In CT it was around oh, 50 or so, can't remember exactly, but anyways it's a substantial amount LESS here. ^_^ Mom says "Well... not on the 1st, but maybe on the 15th." ((I guess I was right about the 15 thing, btw.))
Ok... I know I should stop pressing my luck but... I know Mom and that attitude of her's. It's a maybe, can be changed. Then today I... press on that barrier again. "So on the 15th I can look forward to my friends?" ((Notice how I play my trump card on that one. ^_^ I'm good.)) Ok, today we spent a good deal of clean up due to Holloween decorations and because we came back from a trip. We did the full clean up treatment rather than my usual chores of pick-up-and-put-away. So she was very proud of me at the moment and she says something along the lines of "[Maxine] come h*ll or high water, we will get the Internet the 15th. I appreciate the work you do around here and I know you are always stuck in this house. I will get the Internet for you at least so that way you have something to do. My gift to you for helping me out so much." ::Glowers:: So... ^_^ I guess I will be seeing you guys on the 15th, hopefully, or whenever. ...::Mutters:: I'm already seeing you....ugggg, YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. ::Looks at Starfe:: Yes, I know you are having a blast with this lapse of insanity talking to myself pretending everyone is reading it. ::Rolls her eyes:: DON'T YOU HAVE ANYTHING ELSE BETTER TO DO WITH YOUR TIME. ::Expects something related to this episode to appear in the RPG... if she ever gets it up::
October 16, 2002 | Chatting Again Was Wonderful!!
UPDATES MADE - The Legends of Zelda >> LoZ: A Link to the Past >> The Walkthrough *Sections XIV and XV Added
CURRENT NEWS - Yep. Now the guide is complete up to the Skull Forest dungeon #3 Maiden.
COMMENTARY - Hey!! Got to chat with Starfe, Skull, and Jazz on Sunday! Went over to my grandparents' place. Man it was good to chat with them. ^_^ Starfe even admitted that he missed me - "Summer was boring with you." ;) Come on Starfe, did you actually think you would get away with saying that. ^_^ It's nice to know I was missed *Sigh*. Oh! And it seems those two, Starfe and Skull, were hard at word - are, actually. Making an MCLoZ RPG staring the three of us... oh God! What to expect. You never know what to expect with those two. This is going to be interesting. Now this has been going through my head for a while now. What to put up when I return. This page? Problem - the image and ad I placed for The Zelda Beta Files. ....A heck, I think I will just put it up. I hope you guys realize though that I'm not going to have everything done for a while when I return. I have 100+ e-mails in my mailbox to answer! That comes first and foremost. Sorry, I'm not like these other pathetic websites who ignore their viewers ... who they are has slipped my mind, honestly... heee, I just remember that they piss me off. Anyways, as I told Starfe, Skull, and Jazz, I will be back on either the 1st or the 15th of November... actually I think that might be the 12th, not the 15th... it's just when my parents get paid. It's either next paid day or the pay day after! There! WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT!! IF YOU ARE READING THIS YOU KNOW WHEN I CAME BACK... ugggg ... :( ... :) .... ^_^ Have you ever tried writing an update for future tense like this? Then shut up! Besides, I need to feel like I really am updating. ::Rolls her eyes:: Starfe's going to have a hayday with this bunch of insanity.
September 27, 2002 | I Miss Updating ... I Miss Being The Best!!
UPDATES MADE - None
CURRENT NEWS - Actually, I finished editing all of the pages for The Beta Zelda Files. So, all I need is for Starfe to get me those thumbnails and everything will be all set. :( And I haven't even managed to give him to order to do so yet. Grrrrrrr. I HATE THIS!!!
COMMENTARY - I wish I had the Internet. God! All of the competition has more than likely caught up with me. Two years down the friggen drain. URRRRRRRRRRRRR-GGGGGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Sorry, I had to let that out. *Sniffle* Don't leave me guys. I'll be back, soon. I promise. ::Slumps remembering that no one will even be reading this when she really needs the encouragement::
September 26, 2002 | To Do List: Save 4 Worlds And Work On MCLoZ - Sure!
UPDATES MADE - None
CURRENT NEWS - I still have to get around to editing those pages, don't I? ~ Read Commentary for more
COMMENTARY - "Maxine's To Do List: Fight Dragons, Solve Puzzles, Destroy Invading Mechanics, Recruit Demons, Beat Up Master Hand, Catch Up On Sleep, Watch Anime Tapes for the millionth time, Work on MCLoZ - Oh, and Maxine, don't forget to clean up the house." Hey! All in a day's work for the world's greatest and most beautiful vixen! ^_^ I actually did do all of that today. Fight Dragons = beat Volvagia / Solve Puzzles = The Flooded Palace in Z3 / Mechanics = StarFox64 / Recruit Demons = Revelations the Demon Slayer / Anime = GW Episodes 1-4 / Sleep = *sigh* Only for 30 mins. when my little sister came home from school / MCLoZ = I piddled around with the Walkthrough a little / Clean the House = From 8:00 to 9:30 thus earning my room and board along with helping my sister in school and getting her ready in the morning. ~ "Ok, Maxine, so what's the point of this update?" If my dad gets a very good paycheck coming up ^_^ the internets coming on!! Yeah!! Keep fingers crossed... well... a little late if you are reading this now, but, you know ^_^
September 22, 2002 | Starfe, Where Are You When I Need You
UPDATES MADE - None
CURRENT NEWS - Well, actually, I have been doing work, though if I was doing this to upload it later that's what I would say. Just call this a check up report. All I've been doing really is finishing up with the Beta Project, and I'm saying "finishing up" very loosely. I need Starfe to make thumbnails for me of the pictures. I've got everything in the proper design. I did note that on the Polls when I've gotten around to check it, that the design is a keeper. ^_^ I'm so glad you all like it. And I'm sorry for those that wish I had stayed with the normal design, but if I had, you wouldn't be able to save these images, and I, unlike other Zelda sites, share things with my fans that are full Zelda. You will not see a "MCLoZ" logo on any of them, I promise that, and for those pictures that have on it logos from other sites, there is nothing I can do about that and I'm truly sorry that those other sites do not agree with my own opinion. Jeez, here I am, months away from the internet and I can still throw things in my competitors' teeth without them being here - God I'm good. Well, since there isn't much else I can do with the Beta design until I get those thumbnails, which doesn't look to be any time soon, I guess I should go through and edit all of the descriptions for them - so for those that mention pictures "above" they'll say instead "previous pictures on the slide" or something to that effect.
COMMENTARY - ::Watches as Blou runs being chased by Max:: *Sigh* It seems we've lost a staff member to MCLoZ. Ever since Max has started chasing this strange rogue dog in his territory, he really hasn't been paying much attention to my time on the computer. Hrrrm... that reminds me!! I haven't explained by MagicFox's new Den, yet (for those newbies newly joining me, MagicFox's Den is the term I use for the "computer room")! Well, it's not really a small closet anymore. In fact, the den of the house is being used as a living room because it just looks nicer that way with fireplace and the open kitchen behind, that this just seemed a better place for the computer room. Actually, both computers are in here, it is quite spacious. My computer is on one wall and everything else is behind. To my left is the doorway out into the hall and toward the door, the wall to my right farther down is the other computer desk, directly behind that on the left wall is the Nintendo area (I still have to invest in some beanbag chairs for that area) and further along at the end of that wall is another door that leads into the kitchen and den, and on that wall that is adjacent from the one I'm facing (the one directly behind me) is our table where we have our meals. That is MagicFox's Den! Heee, now this setup should make walkthroughs and info a tad easier since my gaming set is just right behind me and during the day I'll have no problem playing the game and working on the info. I love my new Den. And my family is slowing starting to put up with my AMVs and strange music. >:]
September 21, 2002 | Sorry... I've Been Driving And So Forth...
UPDATES MADE - The Legends of Zelda >> LoZ: A Link to the Past >> The Walkthrough *Section XIII Added
CURRENT NEWS - I've had this done since the 17th... I just didn't update about it.
COMMENTARY - I did do some work. I just never wrote the update. And after that I got so busy with doing things for my parents, helping my sisters, and learning to drive that it just got pushed back in my mind. I'll do the next section now, I think. Or maybe I'll work on the rest of the Beta Files. Hrrrm...
Part 2: 9/16/02 | That's What Happens When You Are Away Too Long
UPDATES MADE - The Legends of Zelda >> LoZ: A Link to the Past >> The Walkthrough *Section XII Added
CURRENT NEWS - Yeah, I better put the two new monsters in the appropriate section (now... how do I do that again?)
COMMENTARY - What the HECK?! I'm gone for just a few months and I forget how to do a proper update!! I forgot how to do the bar thingy for the walkthrough sections - and I had to go through every update until I found how I did it... and the last time I did it was April 9th!!! ACK! I got majorly side-tracked with the Strategy Guide. Oi... I've forgotten how to do so much. Geez, and this all use to come easy for me? ^_^ I can't wait to get back up to par again. GOD I'M GOOD.
September 16, 2002 | Grandparents Are A Pain, But You Gotta Love 'Em
UPDATES MADE - For MCLoZ Viewers >> Video/PC Game Reviews >> Computer Games - PC *The Longest Journey was added
CURRENT NEWS - Yeah, well, I just finished this really awesome game and I just sorta had to write and tell you guys just how awesome it is. ((Does her best not to feel as if she is talking to no one but herself since she can't update yet.) ~ I'm going to work on the Z3 walkthrough, though for the monsters since I'm outta touch with my graphics designer (*sniff* As much as I hate to say it Starfe, I'm sorta lost with you at the moment) I can't do perfect monster images. So for those that I don't have pictures for, I guess I'll just have to leave the spot open until my return.
COMMENTARY - Sure, I know you are just reading this now, but for me, this is probably being written long before "now". ACK!! WHERH'S THE INTERNET!! MAXINE WANTS THE INTERNET!!! Anyways, my Grandparents just left... I get the feeling I'm going to be seeing them lots more since they are only 2 hours away. I do love them, but they aren't the best people to try to get to know. :\ My grandma is not the brightest person in the world, and my grandpa is like a big bear, cute and cuddly from afar but you don't wanna trust him too much... he's not a real loving person. - Where did my Dad get his brains from? Or was that my Mom's work, molding him into what he is today. I know my uncles on his side are not the greatest either. ....But what am I talking about, neither are my Mom's sisters and brothers. I guess we are just exceptions to everything - THANK GOD!!!
September 14, 2002 | I Know I'm Not Back Yet...But...Why Not?
UPDATES MADE - LoZ Related Articles >> The Beta Zelda Files *Finished Fixing Zelda5 style problems, hopefully ~ The Legends of Zelda *New Introduction Style for all of the games ~ Japanese Anime-tion *"Cartoon" title edited to "Anime"
CURRENT NEWS - Well, I don't have the internet yet, and it's not looking too hopeful, but I miss updating, and I've been just fiddling around, well, I'm going to try to at least mark what I do since we all know my terrible memory. I'll just archive all of the updates made in my absense as "Maxine's Move" or something like that. I'll get to that when the time comes. ~ Nothing big, the Beta Files thing was finished even before I left, I just didn't announce it since it was too late to. ~ I thought the statistics style for the game files was rather crappy looking so I redid it with something that looks a LOT better, in my opinion. ~ Starfe and Skullrama made this request a while back and I told them I would do so when I got the time to. Well, I have plenty of time on my hands now, so, I did it. They thought 'Cartoon' was degrading since Anime is NOT Cartoon. They're right. I relent. I have changed it. I hope I got all the headers. I'm pretty sure I did. ((God, I wish I had some anime right now.))
COMMENTARY - *Sniffle* I miss you all. I really really do. I have, already, been on the internet twice through the library. Last wednesday was the second. I sent out an e-mail to all of those that I could to tell them I would be prolonged. God, I hope for not too much longer. I'm dieing to put all of this up!
I'm guessing you guys are like, what's the scoop, Maxine? So, I guess I will tell you right now and just get it out of the way, so I don't have to bother with it on the day of my return, and I'll have a big package of stuff for you guys to sink your teeth into and I can redeem MCLoZ back up to the way it was (250 visits!!! While I was GONE?! I noticed it was beginning to drop, GOD I'D LIKE TO GET IT BACK UP TO THAT AND HIGHER!! And I will!!) So, here's what happened.
On our trip to GA, here, we got into an accident - not our fault. My dad comes over a hill, behind a 'car carrier', one of those huge semis, and there have been construction signs posted and all, so we were already going slow. However, at the other side of that hill cars were parked. The semi slams on his breaks, my dad does the same, but we happen to have a trailer on our back end that pushes us right along into it. Nobody was hurt. There was just me in the front passanger seat, my Dad driving, and my little sister in the back asleep (I was too...RUDE awakening). The most damage to us, was me from my seat belt scraping along my wrist from the impact. Anyways, tore the front of our van all to h*ll. So we lost that car, then extra expenses to tote the stuff in the van and in the trailer (that faired even worse than our van, since it was a simple home-made thing by my Dad). I have never made it a secret that my family isn't one of the best financially, so, we're a little screwed.
Another not so big surprise is the fact the Navy is f*cking with my Dad's pay. We didn't get our travel pay, in fact, we got our form for it mailed back to us saying that Dad didn't feel it out properly and told him to redo it. And they can't get his normal pay straightened out. It keeps oddly fluctuating up and down. And everyone wonders why MagicFox HATES the Navy! I don't hate the causes they fight against, no, I hate how they seem to jip the guys that have been working their *sses off for them of money!
Mad? YOU BET I AM!!
So, until the pay gets stable and everything looks hopeful again, we'll get DSL, which, at least, looks like its going to be about $20 less here than it was in CT. As for the car, we got a VERY nice used one... one that was ONLY used for test-driving ^_^ a Kia 2002 ... did we get lucky or what? Man, it's NIIIIICE. Automatic, smooth, purrs like a kitten ^_^. We're happy, needless to say.
*Cough* Oh, one other minor thing I want to say before I leave off here. Last thursday, September 12th, Maxine MagicFox finally got her permit - first try. *Sigh* I know, I'm 18 and should already have had it, but I have this fear of cars (the accident didn't help that), but I'm not going to let my younger sister show me up! We went for our test the same day. *Cough* Ok, I won't lie. Maxine didn't study, I just glanced over the book, but her sister did... I missed four of the laws and one sign, SHE only missed one sign (the SAME sign as I did). SHUT UP! I RULE! No matter what, I will always be better. Anyways, I now have my permit and today was the first time I actually got behind the wheel of a car. Nervous? YES!!! But... :) well, after a while it sorta grows on you. It's not half bad. I need to work on my turns, but, well, you know. I'm just beginning. It was actually kinda... fun. ^_^ And I'm better at it then SHE is. ::Rolls her eyes:: She keeps wanting to use her left foot for the break. My Dad won't stand for that. >:] I of course didn't. And I stayed in the lane better than her, plus my turns were better. I AM THE MASTA... or getting there.
*Sniffle* I've missed updating. Well, until next time, Tata!! I will try to start working on the Z3 walkthrough yet again. I'm going to have a LOT of surprises for you all, I promise!!
