New PH Screenshots and Artwork

April 29, 2007, 10:21 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox

Today's Updates: Ok, Nintendo officially released the following:

1) Phantom Hourglass Logo
2) New Character Art
3) 11 New Screenshots

Enjoy!

I love the official art. I think I might go through today and change some of the imaging that I have up for the Phantom Hourglass sections.

And you know what, because I now have a DS as well, I too can be excited about this upcoming title. *Squeee* I can't wait to get my hands on it!

BTW, if anyone is interested in sharing Friend Codes for Final Fantasy III so that I can unlock the extras when I start to approach the end of the game, please feel free to e-mail me. None of my buddies have the game and that saddens me.

Phantom Hourglass Story

April 27, 2007, 10:11 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox

Over at The Hylia, they have translated the Phantom Hourglass from an issue of Famitsu Magazine. Here it is:

The Storyline

A ghost ship takes away one of Link's friends (it was said to be Tetra before, but they don't mention her name now). Link sails the four oceans along with Lineback searching for his friend. While looking for clues to get to the ghost ship, the two of them get lost in a temple with an evil curse...

Lineback's the owner of the ship Link travels in.

Touch an enemy and Link will attack it with his sword. It seems Link will do his spin attack if you write a circle around him.

During the game, the upper screen will show the map and the lower one the field. When you touch a spot on the field, Link will walk or run there. Apparently, the fairy will also move to the spot you touch.

If there's a character you want to talk to, you just have to touch him with the stylus and Link will approach him.

You can also move blocks, rocks or levers using the stylus.

You can note down your own memos on the maps. The map screen will come down so that you can write anything you want with the stylus.

You have to trace the route of your ship before setting sail and the ship will follow it. If some enemies show up, you can touch them to fire the cannon. It seems you can also stop the ship, change the cruise speed or change your route with the stylus. There's an icon that seems to be of Terry's face [Beedle].

The knights that hunt down Link in the battle mode are called "Phantoms".

On another note, the day before yesterday I finally purchased me a Nintendo DS. XD So, I'm really psyched. If you want to recommend a few games to me or rant about it with me, visit my Live Journal!

Last update for awhile...

April 24, 2007, 10:57 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox

In honor of the re-launch of our famous Midi Player, I have slightly revamped the list, getting rid of the "Extra game sounds" and just adding them into their proper game sections for more convenience when scrolling through the list.

But more importantly: I added up twenty-two (22!) new midis to our list. And guess for what game XD TWILIGHT PRINCESS!!

~_^ Enjoy my wonderful viewers. Because, saddly for a while, there will be no new updates until after finals and I finally manage to get all of these super large projects out the way.

Phantom Hourglass Famitsu Scans

April 23, 2007, 8:45 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox

Today's Updates: Nine new Phantom Hourglass images have been added to the image gallery. They are all scans from the latest issue of Famitsu and were taken from the site Jeaux-France.

I should go through and snag some more of those Famitsu scans that I missed in the past. At the very least, some of them have some very cute art on them of Link!

Midi Player - Playing Problem Solved!

April 23, 2007, 8:03 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox

Ok, so I worked on it all yesterday and then some on it this morning. Tch, I just could not figure out why in the heck that the Midi Player would not play on FireFox 2.0. I thought I was looking at the right thing when people kept suggesting to make sure the player settings would play midis, however, in the end, that was my major problem. It seems that MIME settings and File Type Association is two different things!

So, if the Midi Player is not playing for you and/or is asking for you to download the midis instead of load them into the player, here is the solution: Image Instructions.

More complete instructions are given on the Midi List page.

Midi Player Revamped - UPDATE

April 22, 2007, 3:40 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox

I have just been made aware that the new Midi Player is NOT compatible with Firefox 2.0 *Cries* I didn't know that FF 2.0 didn't play midi files! I never downloaded it because I thought compared to 1.5.0.11, it is SERIOUSLY much more unstable. If anyone has any information about this, like a plug-in download or something, please e-mail me.

So, I got angry yesterday because when I tried to play my Midi Player on the site, it was not FireFox compatible and I just don't get along very well with IE anymore. On top of that, when I played it in IE, I felt that it was just SERIOUSLY outdated. I haven't revamped that midi list since I launched it over five or so years ago. Meh, and since my other projects that I'm hard at work on are rather large and won't be updated for a while, I decided to work on this which for the ideas that I had would prove to be ALOT easier and quicker.

XD So, now without further ado: The MCLoZ Midi Player! - New, Improved, and FIREFOX COMPATIBLE! (And still works perfectly in IE LOL.)

Wait, so, how is it "improved"? Well, before I used my own player style with just a play and a stop button. However, this Midi Player works with the Quicktime player which is far more friendly since you can pause and skip and mess with volume and whatever!

XD So, I hope you like it. The toolbar link above that says Midi Player opens the window. To access the on-site list, use the link over at the left. *Sigh* Finally that is fixed the way that it was meant to be. I didn't want it to open the player like it was suppose to because it wasn't FF compatible, so the name became a misnomer. But not anymore! Enjoy!

Voice Chat Announcement - Fake!

April 15, 2007, 6:37 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox

If you read the article on Zelda Universe, they mentioned that it was announced in the latest report of Famitsu, that there would be a voice chatting feature for Phantom Hourglass released on the DS.

However, according to The Hylia, there was no such announcement. The Famitsu page simply listed a bunch of features that have already been announced in previous reports. You can read the full translation at The Hylia link I included and a possible reason why there was such a major mistranslation!

Fairy Locations for Minish Cap added

April 11, 2007, 10:36 PM EST by Frankie

Today's Updates: The images I took of the Fairy locations in Minish Cap have been added. See them here: http://mcloz.net/z10fairies.shtml

Just got over a nasty stomach virus. Couldn't stand up at all, or I'd get dizzy. Don't think you people really care about that, but I wanted to add something here other than the Minish Cap update!

Now even more RSS power!

April 11, 2007, 6:48 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox

I figured since I was already at it this morning with updating Zelda News, and now that we have spiffy new RSS Feed, why shouldn't I just make it even more convenient for you guys and make MCLoZ even more of your favorite website by providing you with an RSS Feed for our Zelda News Infocenter.

That's right! We now have an RSS Feed for Zelda News ONLY! Isn't it so spiffy? However, Firefox users, don't try clicking on the url-bar RSS on that page. That's for the website. You will have to create the live bookmark yourself in your bookmark managers. Only a few extra clicks. Pffft, you aren't that lazy are you? :P Get a life! XD

Well, ^_^ I hope you enjoy. Don't say I never made things easy and more convenient for you guys! And remember - MCLoZ is your #1 favorite place, right?!

I am currently working on the Articles Archives. Please be patient as that is a HUGE HUGE section. I will try to get in a new TP page sometime after the weekend after next. T-T I have so much homework in these next two weeks and I don't even want to think about the weeks after that. It's only four more weeks of this college semester and then - FINALS! irk....

PH Japanese Release Date

April 11, 2007, 6:04 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox

The latest issue of the Weekly Famitsu, a popular Japanese gaming magazine, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for Nintendo DS is scheduled to be released over in Japan on June 23, 2007.

American and European dates, however, still stand for the holidays, however. (Which means, I won't be updating the images for those sections since the site only follows the USA deadlines. ~_^ So, don't try to remind me of anything.)

Replacing Glitched TP Discs

April 9, 2007, 12:26 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox

Most of you, I'm sure, have heard of the infamous Twilight Princess Glitch. If not, the glitch is if you save and quit your game in the Cannon Room before asking Shad to leave or warping the Canon out of the room, when you start up again, Shad is not in the room, but the game acts as if he is and not only will you not be able to leave through the door or in wolf form, but you can't warp the canon out either. FATAL GLITCH which results in you having to restart your game.

However, it seems that Nintendo has heard your cries of desperation. For those unlucky dummies who managed to find this glitch, you can contact Nintendo and they will offer to replace your disc. Here's the Nintendo e-mail that has been floating around the internet.

Hello,

Thank you for the e-mail. We can help you with this. You need to call us directly so we can go over this with you. At your earliest convenience, please contact our Consumer Service Department by calling 1-800-255-3700. Our representatives are available between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time, seven days a week. When calling, you may bypass the recorded information by pressing "0" on your touch-tone phone. This will connect you to the next available representative.

Sincerely,

Nintendo of America Inc.

And here's Nintendo's Address for those of you willing to depart with your disc for a week if not far longer in the hopes of getting it back. ONLY your DISC is to be sent in (no box).

NINTENDO OF AMERICA
ATTN: CS ADMIN
4900 150TH AVE NE
REDMOND WA 98052-5171

Good luck! Though, personally, I think the glitch is hillarious. And by the way, do not bother if your glitch is related to sand rooms or Link walking slowly or anything else of the sort. Those aren't glitches. When this happens, try using your wolf sense to "fix" this "glitch".

Zelda Game Guides complete!

April 7, 2007, 2:48 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox

Today's Updates: The Minish Cap section has been completely revamped into the new design. I also updated the Phantom Hourglass section to present the current information. Which means: The Zelda Game Guides section has now completely been pulled over into the new design! w00t!!

XD I'M DONE!! I'm so psyched. After roughly half a year of work on it, I have completed the main portion of the site into the design. However, -_- things still aren't quite as done as I would like them to be. I really shouldn't say the section is complete, because in reality, it isn't.

I still have to put my LttP walkthrough and LttP Bestiary into the new design (those are going to be their own seperate projects) but more importantly, revampe all of the item page images so that they no longer have that black bg and fit the site. Again, that's its own project and I'm not exactly all that worried about it right now.

Other things that need to be pulled into the new design: Our Articles Archive! ... :\ I'm given some thought about also pulling the section labelled as "Advent Calendars & Other Events" ... I think for the time being, I'm pulling it until much later in the year. And after that - I have the Zelda Spin-Off sections to write up!

*Sigh* I have so much work ahead of me. *Pouts*

MCLoZ - Now with RSS Power!

April 3, 2007, 12:54 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox

If you have Firefox, you will notice that familiar RSS symbol in the address bar. If you have IE7, you will notice the same symbol in the toolbar menu is lit up.

^_^ I'm very psyched to announce that MCLoZ is now RSS-compatible! w00t! I've had the addon for coranto downloaded for a while now, but I never wanted to mess with it since I know so very little about RSS. I didn't now anything about it until I downloaded Firefox and was introduced to them by the default "headlines" feed in the bookmarks toolbar. I've been addicted to them ever since for the toolbar because I just have to click on them in the toolbar and see if my fave site has updated without bothering to click it. LOL, yeah, I'm lazy.

So, I really don't know what all programs other people use or anything like that and while I'm sure it's right, that's only 90% sure. LOL. So, if anyone finds anything strange or suspicious, just give me a shout and I'll have a few others look at it.

^_^ Otherwise, completely enjoy it! And I hope it makes your lives so much easier and makes my site that much more your favorite.

Time for some spring cleaning!

April 3, 2007, 10:49 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox

If you haven't already noticed, our front page looks very short with only three updates on it now. Haha, that's because I finally got around to adding the old months itno the Past Updates archive, which is what I'm SUPPOSED to do on the first of every month, but for the last two months it has slipped my mind, so I had updates from January to present. That's fixed. January, February, and March's updates can now be found in the Archive.

Makes things look a lot cleaner, I think. ^_^

And don't worry about past Zelda News, you can find the last ten entries in over in the Infocenter to the left side. They can also be found in the archives as they were posted.

Ok, time to start on The Minish Cap section. Oh, before I forget, I know that a lot of you are now wondering "so when is she bringing back fan submittions?"

Fan submittions for the Zelda Secrets and Oddities page and Link's Infinite List of Torture will return May 19th.

School will be over, the layout should be complete (or almost complete), and I'll be able to fit them into a more regular weekend schedule. Yes, I will still be waiting to add them all up on Fan-Submittions Weekends! ^_^

Moving right along...

April 3, 2007, 7:00 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox

Ha! An update before I even have to go to off to class! (Which I'm only attending one class to day... a half hour commute just for one class... pfffft.)

Anyways, the Four Swords Adventures section is now up in the new design... not that there were many pages to worry about anyway. But, I'm so psyched! That just leaves the Minish Cap section and then I can get to writing up stuff for the other sections! XD I'm so psyched! I'm almost done! I can get on with my life!

So... tired... and exhausted...

April 2, 2007, 11:53 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox

Today's Updates: The Wind Waker section is now all in the new design! w00t!

I took a lot more time cleaning up these pages and designing them nicely. Unlike the other game pages which will hopefully get screens in, TWW is far less likely to be able to receive such images, so, I just spent a little more time being neat since I'll probably never go back.

Anyways, I'm fighting to stay awake. It's time for me to go to bed. *Yawn* *Yawn* *Yawn*
