No!! I though I had figured out this puzzle! But it still didn't work!
December 31, 2004, 5:39 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: *None. Actually, there prolly won't be any for a while. Not just because I got Myst 4: Revelations ::snuggles with the case:: but also because we finally have a house and will be moving to Pennsylvania more than likely within the week (unless the movers screw up those plans in some way) and then ... silence since I won't even have an internet in a while - February latest possibly for my return, but maybe... let's keep our fingers crossed that Mom will get the Internet as soon as we get settled.

Commentary: *Swirly eyes* Wah! Myst is kicking my butt! *Sniffles* It's so much fun. It's been so long since I've had this sort of challenge. Anyways... other than Myst, I will share the rest of what I received for Christmas.

Myst 4: Revelations
Final Fantasy 1 and II: Dawn of Souls
Dark Cloud 1
Chrono Crusade vol 2
Tsubasa vol 2 and 3
Candidate for Goddess vol 3
GBA SP carrying case
and an adorable Pegasus figurine from my little sister <3 She's so good to me.

Max cried tears ^_^ such a wonderful Christmas. I was so amazed I got so much manga. LOL, my family is like so adverse to my Japanese fascination. And 4 games (1 being a combination of 2). So much fun.

Merry Christmas to everyone from the staff of MCLoZ!
December 22, 2004, 11:38 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Merry Christmas to everyone from all of us at MCLoZ. There will be no additional updates or news posts until after the 25th. ^_^ Don't pig out too much on Christmas dinner.

Commentary: I wish I had something holiday-ish going. I was thinking up something, too, when this whole "move" issue started. Oh well. I'll make it up to you guys, I promise. Well, I'm off to go and join the rest of my family to participate in all of those meaningless family traditions that somehow always manage to ruin the holidays (LOL, just kidding. Actually, we're baking cookies. How can that ruin the holidays? Unless you're on a diet...). ^_^ I'll make some chocolate chip cookies and eat them for you guys! I know, I'm so generous, aren't I?

The name is more than likely a hoax... still not sure but....
December 20, 2004, 5:20 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Ok, it helps to check affiliates now and then. Especially if they're your hoast. Recently Zelda Legends posted the news for the possibility of the upcoming GCN Zelda game. Since then, they have been updating a little more on the article and the facts: Article Here.

It seems the name is "suppose" to be "Yuushuu no Tadzuna" according to an Aonuma interview. However, no one can seem to find this interview and the word Tadzuna does not seem to exist in the Japanese dictionary and therefore can not mean Bridle or Ride either one. ;) At the bottom, David confides that this is looking more and more like a hoax and I'm prone to believe that as well.

Commentary: Ok, most of you know how much I love fansubs and I've already gotten one or two e-mails telling me about the Anime Suki event. I suppose you guys want me to post my own opinions up here about it. Yes, I'm deeply depressed that Media Factory Inc. Works would choose to finally bring an end to fansubs of their productions, however, I'm of two minds of the whole subject. It's wrong, I have no doubt of that in my mind. The creators are not getting their money for it and it's "stealing". But, then I think of all the publicity that the anime gets due to the fansubs. There are quite a few animes that I know for a fact would not have been brought over had it not been for the fan craze inspired by the fansubs. And as a matter of fact, who wants to bother importing all of this fine material if they don't even know how good the storyline is, and even once it does come over to America, who wants to pay $30+ for a friggen' DVD that has maybe 3-4 episodes on it, or 2 as in the case of FLCL. ::Shrugs:: Personally, I "hope" that no other anime company follows suit, but I'll understand it if they do.

Until 2005....
December 18, 2004, 7:30 PM EST by Devilitchi
Updates: I will be gone until the start of the New Year.

Commentary: We are just now starting to seriously start packing up, and will *hopefully* be moving into our new house around December 31st. Sorry I haven't been up to par with news like Ms. Maxine ;-) Just been crazy around home, with the Holidays, us moving, waiting for loan approvals, totally insane! I will return to updating once we get our cable internet back, which I'm hoping is a few days after we move back in. I'll keep you updated. Have a great holiday and new year :)

Posted Later by Maxine MagicFox: Don't worry. I think I can handle this crowd until you get back. Fortunately, I've been rather fortunate about getting the computer, so there shouldn't be too many worries. ^_^ Have a great Christmas, Devilitchi! And a Happy New Year!! (That goes for everyone, too.)

The bad thing is, my connection's too slow to load Flash
December 18, 2004, 1:10 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Zelda.com has recently opened the official American Minish Cap website!

Commentary: Somebody tell me how good the site is. I try to load it up and the loading gets stuck. The bar won't go anywhere past the "L" in the "Loading" above it. -_- I hate dial up connection. *Sniffle* I'll keep trying, though.

How's this for a little suspicion - I'm crying rumor on this one
December 16, 2004, 6:17 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Ok, after checking out Zelda Universe, it appears that there is a bunch of speculation going around and a lot of rumors about Zelda Realistic's true name."Legend of Zelda: The Reins of Sorrow" is one and "Legend of Zelda: The Ride of Melancholy" is another.

Commentary: Well, at the very least they seem to be in the same theme. However, they are too dissimilar for my taste and I don't like not knowing where the rumor started. I'm posting this one as "rumor" until further notice. Besides, as always in the past, a few names go around for a while and then the officially released one is far from what the rumors were. But... I could always be wrong. ^_^; I was with "The Minish Cap".

Affiliate Ganon's Tower reaches 2 million visitors!!
December 16, 2004, 12:02 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Not too long ago Ganon's Tower asked me to make an announcement for them. ^_^ I can finally hold up that promise. Ganon's Tower has officially reached 2 million visitors!! Great work, Dan!

And if you have not visited the site ever before, right now might be a good time to do so. They have a new contest to win Zelda Realistic as well as a few downloadables to check out. So go on and enjoy the celebration.

Commentary: Such is the life of a writer. I have been in the mood for a good children's book lately. Harry Potter won't do because though I love the tales I like the free-lance questing adventures such as you find in The Lord of the Rings. Brian Jacques won't do because that's animals, not children, and it's still not freelance or playful enough. Then laying in bed last night I kinda realized that the type of book I wanted to read was the type of book I'm writing and I'm writing the type of book that I've never been able to read before. -_- *Sigh* Isn't that funny. Nah, I guess this really has nothing to do with anything, just me smiling at myself about something I find inwardly funny. It just reminds me of something I read before, though I can't remember where. The quote "writers write the type of story they want to read most but never find" just kinda haunts me every now and then because I know how true it is. It's a little disappointing for someone who spends 9/10s of her life burried in a book or any other sort of story for that matter, video game or otherwise.

Ok, so let's get an update on the state of MagicFox!
December 15, 2004, 12:54 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: None, I tried to hold out, but I think this stuff is important and I know many of you are anxious to know.

Commentary: Ok, so, this update is going to be entirely about what's going on with me and my "move". For those of you who are new to the site, hi, I'm Maxine MagicFox, the webmistress of MCLoZ. Usually you see far more updates than what you've seen recently in the previous months but because my Dad is out of the Navy, we are now on a move and until he gets a job we are staying with relatives. That means, no computer with all of my files or website access, nor fast connection.

Ok, so, what is new with MagicFox. Lots! It's amazing how the course of your life can change with one single instant in not even but a single minute. ^_^ I'm maybe not as Christian as some, but I do believe in a higher power every day and give thanks to Him, and I seriously do believe that God is watching out for us. Why I don't know, but He is. ;)

So, last Friday Dad goes out to visit an aunt, jobless. I don't go. Stay at my uncle's to do play a little Halo. Later Mum calls up all super excited saying "Dad has a job!" o_O Ok... wait... they go to get mail from my aunt's and they end up with a job?? ^_^ A company dad had sent out to a company the previous night on the net had called back. Aerotech is the name of the company and not only will my dad be extremely happy working there with electronics and gizmos (even if he will be surrounded by crappy Marines - ^_^; yeah, old Navy prejuidices have been pounded into me since I was born) but he will be VERY well paid! Far more than the bloody Navy ever paid my Dad - pricks holding him back in 3rd class >_< even after acing the tests since the first one.

Ok, but you know ... there had to be a draw back somewhere, though I suppose it could have been worse. The company is located in Tobyhana (ok, I KNOW I didn't spell that right, but that's the way it "sounds" since I haven't seen it in writing yet) ... Pennsylvania. Hrrrm, ok, let's cap, the only places MagicFox has ever lived in are CT, GA, SC, Virginia, and a few other places she has no recollection about. Then I have family in Ohio, West Virginia, and Florida. So, for the most part, I've kinda been hanging out on the eastern coast all my life. Pennsylvania is not exactly my first choice of where we should go next to live, but then... I'm kinda use to all this "new state" stuff and then I think "I'm going to college and will hopefully very soon be leaving my parents." So, I'm not going to complain and my parents are "thrilled".

Ok, back to the nitty-gritty. When will I be returning to the site? Meh, I don't know when we will be moving up. There's talk of Dad going alone for a few months until he saves up some money for us to buy a house. Let's make that February. Or, we go up now, buy a house and even then we'll prolly be waiting until after February to actually worry about some nice commodities (computer, tv, that stuff...). ::Shrugs:: -_- It looks like sometime around February or later. There's your answer. It's loose and subject to change, but that's what I predict right now.

Ok, so I'm done. Get back on with your lifes. ^_^ Did you all read any of that? Wow, you must be really missing me or are just some poor loser with time to kill. ;) LOL, J/K. Speaking of killing time. <_< I murdered 4+ hours tonight watching that Legend of Earthsea on Sci Fi. I thought it was suppose to be a mini series. As in, maybe an hour long tops, with say at least a few dozen episodes. I was hoping for at least some daily fantasy release. ... I want those four hours of my life back, please -_-. However, I think that main character and mine have a lot in common. ^_^ I liked him.

New Minish Cap Screenshots
December 9, 2004, 7:32 PM EST by Devilitchi
Updates: Ganons Tower pulls through once again.

Commentary: Meh, its been a bad week for Devilitchi. Most of it involves relationship-ish things that I'm sure no one wants to hear ;-) Anyways, yay, I updated.

They may have got it first, but we'll get a cleaner version
December 2, 2004, 7:16 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: As you can read about in an Interview posted on Planet GameCube, it seems that while UK got the game first mostly to boost the sales due to lack of DS releasal, us Americans will get a verion of The Minish Cap that will be free of text errors and story inconsitancies that tarnished their version. Or at least we can all hope, but somehow they always find their way in.

Commentary: Alright, now, the commentary here mostly relates to the information previously posted by Devilitchi. Zelda Universe made a rather crude comment to us "Zelda kiddie" fans about how this should silence us. I don't see "how". It just means that Miyamoto is trying to shut up the group of video game players that have been hounding him every since the release of OoT and subsequent TWW graphics. Three games out of 11 and the other two featuring a younger Link. How can you not say the series is "kiddie". This new game is going to be the oddball of the series and in my mind is going to wind up being another Lord of the Rings: The Third Age as recently released by EA games. Maybe have magic, have some kewl looking weapons, have an interesting war-swept story, but many are going to agree how Zelda different it more than likely is going to be.

Now, there's no denying that it is going to be interesting, even coming from one of those "players who brandish Zelda as "kiddie", but it's definitely not going to shut us up in the end, especially since Miyamoto has even stated that he himself was far more interested in the kiddie versions himself.

New graphics, new map system, new room view, new monsters, more than likely new weapons, new clothing, new producer, and now new rating ... that doesn't sound like it's going to be traditional Zelda to me. Apart from the name, and the characters, is it really going to be a Zelda game, I wonder.

Realistic Zelda : Rated T For Teen?
December 1, 2004, 7:09 PM EST by Devilitchi
Updates: Thanks to our affiliate Ganons Tower, Realistic Zelda may be the first Zelda game rated something other than "E for Everyone". More as we hear it.

Commentary: Very interesting...and mad props to Maxine for posting the same news story twice! Hehe, beat you by a few days with those screenies Max ;-)
