January 31, 2004 | MCLoZ - Once Again Emphasizing The Desire For Creativity!!
UPDATES MADE - Zelda Secrets and Oddities *FS (#5) "Worms Cut In Half Don't Die - MOVIE" by Henry_n ~ Zelda Fan-Art Gallery *"Link and Navi" by Fire Link Added
CURRENT NEWS - ^_^ There were a few minor malfunctions that I had to excel over in order to get this video to work for myself. First my emu was outdated and didn't play movies so I had to find the upgrade and then I had a version of FS that didn't work with the vid - if you have the Four Swords version presented by Mode 7 with their rediculously long intro, it's not going to work. However, XD It does work and though it's long, it's awesome and a must watch, unless you've performed the glitch for yourself already ^_^. ~ And old staff member Fire Link gets back in contact with me and sends me a kewl fan-art picture to add to the gallery. Enjoy!!
COMMENTARY - XD See, I will accept anything and find a place to put it on my site! I wish I could put the emus and roms on my site <_< >_> but I think some people would have some issues with that one. ^_^ But, yes, if you have a ROM movie to send in with your oddities, I would be glad to place it up in addition to the text. Just fill out the Oddities form like usual and then send the file via regular e-mail.

January 30, 2004 | And Now Back To Our Regular Scheduled Programming! *Sigh*
UPDATES MADE - The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons - Hidden Rupee Men *Revamped with Pictures
CURRENT NEWS - Tada! Hidden Rupee Men Locations complete! ^_^ God, I love being a WebMaster. ~ ::Stares at Nexus Zero of Zelda Elements:: What's wrong with shamelessly advertising your forums in your updates? XD We're Gods! Our sites are our domains! Let's do all the petty advertising our hearts desire! MWHAHAHAHA!! LOL ^_^. *Cough* Visit the MCLoZ Zelda Forums! And don't forget to try out The Zelda Scrambler. ~ In more important news, Zelda Universe did find the IGN article and are also saying that they will go by this Four Swords Plus release dates, so just in case if that swayed your opinion, I thought I might tell you.
COMMENTARY - No, don't ask me why the site was down. Obviously something screwed up with Zelda Legends and something used up too much bandwidth. And obviously they have since fixed it. Hurrah for David and Khuffie!! -_- I had almost resolved myself to not having my site for two days until the first of the month.

January 29, 2004 | I Almost Thought I Wasn't Going To Get This Done Today
UPDATES MADE - The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Plus *Game Section Added
CURRENT NEWS - Well, not much of a game section, yet. I posted up the news. >_> As you can tell by the image I wasn't sure if this was going to be considered one of the "numbers" or just an extra. I'm going to say extra but if I find out later that I'm wrong, it's a simple easy change (ten minutes). Stuff will be added as I get around to it and more information is given and the game is released in May.
COMMENTARY - ::Rushes in and trips on her tail:: Waa! Oof... ::Gets up and straightens the front of her robe:: For a moment there I wasn't so sure I would be able to complete the update. It was just a really nice day and I couldn't help but get pulled away for a while onto my "writing porch" (a tiny screened in "room" really, outside). And well... what was suppose to be an hour turned into three. Ok, yeah, the page doesn't "LOOK" like it would take that long to make but you have no idea what I go through for that splash intro. Well, anyways, see you later, or tomorrow, or whenever. Tata!!

January 28, 2004 | Oh, Can I, Can I? I Gotta Comment!! ^_^ To Guestbook Signer...
UPDATES MADE - The Zelda Scrambler Game *Page Added
CURRENT NEWS - I keep meaning to do this but I keep forgetting. The Zelda Scrambler started (which reminds me I need to post the new Scrambler up) and to encourage new players to come in to play, here's the rules. Remember: you can come in and play at any time or not play at your own choice.
COMMENTARY - Ok, I know I only thank/address guestbook signers the first of the month, but this kid just signs in with something I MUST comment about. Soul Reaver signs in with "That show called flcl is fooly cooly. but i dissagree that it is a good show. very stupid in humor if you ask me. anyways good site. *strength through destruction* peace out."
*Cough* FLCL is the official name of the anime. Obviously someone has watched the dubbed version on Adult Swim. The Japanese have no L's, the get turned into R's, however, we can translate them into L's, yes. FLCL is pronouced FuriKuri since the Japanese "must" synch things in with a certain rythem. So they stick F"u"R"i"C"u"R"i" (the R's being the L's in the name). If you have listened to the Japanese version while in subtitles you can even hear them say this. We Americans just "love" to mess with things and they put it as Fooly Cooly in the dub version. And perhaps it is, but like with Spirited Away, it's not the real name (Spirited Away = Sen to Chiriho no Kamikakushi aka Sen and Chiriho's Spiriting Away). American-ly correct, both of them, huh? But, no, not the real titles and not what Otakus like me choose to call them.
^_^ And we are all entitled to our own opinions so I will not comment about you not enjoying the humor. You are actually the first person who I have ever heard tell me they did not like it. However, if you watched the dubbed version with the aweful voices T-T it's easy to understand why. But I'm glad you enjoy my Zelda site ^_^ and please continue to visit.

January 28, 2004 | If There's One Item, You're Early. If There's Two, You're Late.
UPDATES MADE - The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons - Gasha Seed Locations *Revamped with pictures ~ The Zelda Poll *Updated
CURRENT NEWS - I believe that leaves me with only two more pages to get pictures up on ^_^. Don't they look so nice and informative. I'm rather proud of myself for getting these pictures. ~ Results of last poll "Are you anxious for Four Swords Plus?" 48 voted Yes!, 14 Maybe-I'll buy it, 11 I'll rent it first, 9 No!, and 4 voted No, but I'll buy it. I think that definitely concludes it. Most people are looking forward to seeing Four Swords Plus come out. I hope they aren't disappointed.
COMMENTARY - Now don't blink! If there's one update item above, congratulations, you came early to the site to catch me in the middle of creating a simple update: changing the poll. If you came late, then the Poll should already be announced and you can go ahead up and click. Why didn't I just wait till I had both done? <_< Don't ask me! I don't know these things!

January 28, 2004 | Reviewing The News Posted Last Night Since I Was Rushed
UPDATES MADE - Contact the MCLoZ Staff *Added
CURRENT NEWS - Under the website stuff, we have a new page I felt we needed. A simple form that you can fill out if you are interested in contacting us but for some reason don't want to use regular e-mail. ~ Because I was rushed I didn't get to go through the news post last night. I really want to. Below is a list of the important features covered in the FAQ.
- There are only "three" games instead of what had been the initial four. They are: Hyrule Adventure, Navi Trackers, and Shadow Battle. Hyrule Adventure is the renamed "Four Swords" while Navi Trackers is a new game that replaces Tetra's Trackers.
- Navi Trackers - a scavenger hunt where players race through towns on the GBA using items to collect stamps.
- Shadow Battle - a fight between the four links where thelast one standing wins!
- Connectivity Features: "Hyrule Adventure" uses this for such purposes as secret passages in which even the rupees you collect remain a secret from the others. "Navi Trackers" uses this to hide how you overcame a certain puzzle and the amount of stamps you've collected. "Shadow Battle" is perhaps the most interesting. Once you disappear into the GBA, your opponents don't know where you are, what weapon you are about to choose, what's going on, or even what to expect.
- Play the game alone? Yes, you can with Hyrule Adventure and Navi Trackers. No, sorry, Shadow Battle requires at least two players. Hyrule Adventure does not require the GBA to play alone, but Navi Trackers, does.
- And the big question, when is it coming out? Japan release: March 18. US release: May 11. *Subject to Question*
Though, the release date is strange because reading a post made by Zelda Universe they say their information tells them there is no news yet of a US Release. Hrrrm... it's up to you to believe whatever you want. And, please, I just highlighted the major things. For more information please click the IGN link found in the Zelda News Menu.
COMMENTARY - ^_^ So, for those lots of people who have voted "Yes" on being anxious for the game, things are looking pretty wonderful for you. Huh? No, that's not to say I'm not looking forward to it. -_- I couldn't even get it. I am still without a GameCube. I still haven't even gotten to touch The Wind Waker T-T. *Sigh* ::Goes into a corner to sulk:: More updates later. Until then, Tata!!

January 27, 2004 | What's FLCL? I Keep Forgetting That Some Are Not Anime Freaks
UPDATES MADE - Zelda News Menu *Updated
CURRENT NEWS - Sorry, today's update took longer than expected and since my sister has a school project to work, I got booted off the computer. So, I cannot fulfill my promise of another update... except this still important news release made yesterday by NCL which IGN has compiled into a Top Ten FAQ. Very interesting read, including information such as "can you play one player without need of a GBA?" Enjoy!!
COMMENTARY - What is FLCL? Whoops. I forgot some people here don't know this show. LOL. *Cough* Allow me to explain. FLCL is an anime created by Gainax, the folks who created Neon Genesis Evangelion. It is a comedy, and 13+ only, which is found by all to be completely weird, chaotic, and incomprehensible. Robots pop out of the main character's head, a Vespa-riding woman has a guitar which can turn into a deadly weapon of destruction, and well... lots of other stuff. Sweet music, lots of destruction, loads of comedy, extreme weirdness, quite a number of parodies (including some on EVA). What's not to love? I highly recommend this sweet anime to everyone. Ok, so this isn't Zelda related but... you asked. ^_^ And I'm just an insane Otaku.

January 27, 2004 | Watching FLCL And Eating Popcorn... What's Weird About That?
UPDATES MADE - The Zelda Fan-Fiction Library *"The Triforce Trilogy: Wisdom" by Doh Re-written ~ Zelda Secrets and Oddities *OoT: #58 "See What You Can't" by Nick | OoT-MQ: #4 "Blow the Man Down" by HyperLink ~ Link's Infinite List of Torture *Items 66-67 by Link1988 and HyperLink
CURRENT NEWS - Expect more updates later. This was just finally emptying my mailbox. ^_^ I'm also cooking up a surprise for everyone. I just need to wait for a little approval coming via e-mail. XD I know I'm going to like it at least. I have the bandwidth to actually do it! Expect some nice things coming our way.
Later: I also just updated the Quick Zelda News window. -_- Yeah, because of last week, I sorta missed the release of those screenshots. Please forgive me. ^_^ I'll do better to be more on top of things.
COMMENTARY - Athena: What are you watching? MagicFox: FLCL and eating Popcorn. Wanna join me? Athena: You are SO WEIRD!! ::leaves:: MagicFox: Huh? ::Stares at the screen - the "cat ears" robot is on the rampage and the Vespa tears down the hall, running over the teacher:: <_< >_> What's so weird about watching TV and eating Popcorn? ::Shrugs and continues watching::

January 26, 2004 | Skipping Yesterday Was Not My Idea - "Groundation?"
UPDATES MADE - Doh's Investigations *January 2004 Edition Added
CURRENT NEWS - Making the announcment for Doh who told me that he would be unable to update about the addition of his Investigation. ^_^ This month, Doh investigates "Are Popular Gaming Series failing?" Well done on the whole, though I hope he doesn't mind the little note I left at the end of it (if he does I will take it down). Out of all the investigations he has ever written this is about the ONLY thing we have never agreed upon, though really it is only a trifling issue, but I think because of it, he undermined the full potential of the series. ::Shrugs::
COMMENTARY - ::Stares down at the post time:: Is this early enough for you? I've been working on this update ever since I got up at 6 AM this morning, while getting my little sister ready for school. Actually, I have underlying motives. Today is my "other" sister's (I have two: 17 year old "Athena" and 11 year old "Pooh" I'll call them. Pooh was the one with the birthday) senior skip day. XD We're going to do something together since she doesn't have many friends down in this **** hole - all the "true" punks are up in the north, as she says LOL. And yesterday... -_- I guess in a sense... MagicFox got "grounded". They wanted me to spend time with Pooh >_> so they said "no computer." Wasn't a totally bad day... on and off we played Pokemon Ruby (which I got her for her b-day) and she had bought Pokemon Sapphire with the rest of her money for me to play and that's what we did all day, including going out to eat and feeding ducks at the park. ::Glares:: If anyone comments on me playing Pokemon I will murder you. The games are cute but yes, way too overhyped, but if it sends a tiny bit of thrill through my little sister to talk to her about a simple game ^_^ I'm more than happy to.

January 24, 2004 | Max Is A Girl And MCLoZ Has An "S" At The End Of Legend
UPDATES MADE - The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons - Rupee Chest Locations *Upgraded with pictures ~ The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons - Fairy Fountain Locations *Upgraded with pictures
CURRENT NEWS - Well... because of a few technicalities, I couldn't work on the things in my mailbox, so I decided to knock off two more items in the Oracle of Seasons section that needs pictures. Now, just two more things need pictures and I'm done and can start adding things up to other sections.
COMMENTARY - -Max is still out of commentary ideas- Yeah, ok, my name is Maxine MagicFox. You can call me Max, Maxine, MagicFox, Magic, or Fox, but not Magicfox. Oh, and yeah, I'm not a boy, either. I'm a girl. I dunno why people get that wrong. Are boys so sexist like that, that anyone that doesn't think "pink" for design and actually plays RPGs is automitically assumed "boy"? -_- Or am I just a tomboy. It's true I don't like dresses but... ::glomps Link:: I still think he's handsome. Then there's my site... Midnight Castle's Legends of Zelda. Big name. You can call it MCLoZ. But don't call it Midnight Castle's Legend of Zelda. It's four years old. Bet you didn't know that either. Ok... ::bows:: I'm done with my wonderless babble of nonscence that went no where and I'm trying to figure out why I wrote it. I dunno know. Do you know? No? Well, I'll just say "Tata" and go. Oh! Tata is Max's favorite and famous good-bye and farewell. Bet you didn't know that either? ^_^ ...Why do I feel like I somehow pulled off an Excel Saga parody...

UPDATES MADE - New Affiliate *Purple Yoshi's Page Added ~ Link's Infinite List of Torture *Item #65 by LadyYuna Added ~ The Beta Zelda Files - LoZ: Majora's Mask *File 4 Updated ~ The Beta Zelda Files - Comments by Fans *OoT File 4 by Ashila Added
CURRENT NEWS - Please welcome Purple Yoshi's Page to our list of affiliates. No, actually, his site's a LOT nicer than his name suggests ^_^ give him a chance. He made it on the list, didn't he? ~ Whee, my mailbox is now empty (at the moment, at least) of the "small" stuff, now to tackle the rest. I think I will try to figure out how to fix those pics of HyperLink's since I know he's not going to do it... ::glares::. Either way, expect an update later today.
COMMENTARY - I dunno, I'm all outta ideas for Commentary at the moment. Actually, I'm more interested in getting more stuff up. So, I will let you get away just this once without a few words from MagicFox-sama. Except - BE SURE TO JOIN THE FORUMS. ^_^ They are doing wonderfully. Ok, now, get out of here.

January 23, 2004 | No, I'm Not Done, But I Can't Ignore The Site Any Longer
UPDATES MADE - The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons - Trading System *Updated with Pictures
CURRENT NEWS - And that's another page down, now fully loaded with pictures XD. ~ Oh, >_> I don't know when this news came out but Zelda Universe has stated on its site that Four Swords has been delayed from February to March 18th. That update really flew over my head.
COMMENTARY - -_- Don't talk to me about how is my story coming. It's not. *Sniffles* I'll figure something out. I know I will. At the very least if worst comes to worst I'll take one of my stupid ideas, write the story, and be done with it. >_< GRRR. Max is totally in need of some inspiration. I think my muse abandoned me for a little recreational activity of her own. I can just imagine her now, sitting on the beach, sipping lemonade, inwardly laughing at my little predicament and saying "that's what you get for procrastinating."

January 22, 2004 | Woh! It's Thursday Already? My Assignment Is Still Not Done!!
UPDATES MADE - Zelda Secrets and Oddities *Added TWW: "LttP Revival... Again" by Dark Grapefruit ~ Link's Infinite List of Torture *Items #61-63 by MarioRPG, Alienhunter, and HyperLink Added
CURRENT NEWS - And there's still a few other things in my mailbox. Including HyperLink's second part of his OoA walkthrough, though he still hasn't fixed two images so I can put up his first part. If I wasn't so busy myself, I might try to fix them on my own. ~ Also, in other news, not really Zelda related but... don't forget to point your fingers and laugh at this new system or gameboy - however you wanna look at it. New Nintendo DS. My opinions? You want them. Ok... that's the most rediculous thing I have ever seen. Nintendo, place that half-baked idea back into the oven and let it bake a little longer. Doh? Were you having trouble thinking up next month's Investigation? I think you might have just received some new material.
COMMENTARY - >_< Don't look at me!! I know I haven't exactly been keeping up with the updates. Monday was my sister's birthday. Then Tuesday I realized the end of the month is near and I haven't even STARTED on my writing assignment, which might I add is taking much longer than I ever anticipated. I'm a novelist who hasn't written many short stories and crunching my ideas down into 1000 words is proving to be difficult. I've think I've got it though and hopefully will be done today. Which, I probably just jinxed myself. Anyways, don't forget to visit our forums XD.

CURRENT NEWS - I especially like that one for the LttP remake sent in my Henry_n. ::Drools:: MagicFox has got to quickly get her game up to Tower of Ganon to try it out. I love glitches, they are so awesome! I wonder if this works for LttP original as well. As soon as I try it on GBA and know how it works I will test it. Mwhahaa

January 17, 2004 | MagicFox-sama Commands You To Join Her Forums - NOW!
UPDATES MADE - The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons - Secret Ring Locations *Pictures Added
CURRENT NEWS - Now, before all of you complain that there are no pictures for the very bottom for the "Golden Beasts" - I know! I'm sure you have noticed that the pictures are coming from a played game where MagicFox has already gotten everything. So... since the Golden Beasts are already defeated, I have to start a whole new game just to go back and get pictures of them. I'm working on it. That is currently Slot #2 on my game. >_< I suck at Roms, though.
COMMENTARY - Mwhahahaha!! MagicFox-sama commands you to join her forums NOW!! And to those unlucky few who have no concept of Japanese honorifics "sama" at the end of the name can mean High Lord or God. XD Duh! Of course I'm conceited and egotistical. Haven't you realized this, yet. How pathetic. Just for that one, you really DO have to join the forums. ::Cracks her Cat-o-nine-tails:: Mwhahaha!! Huh? January 17, 2004 | And Finally, After Much Trouble, I Keep My Promise - FORUMS!!
UPDATES MADE - *Forums Installed!!
CURRENT NEWS - Wheee, I have been working long into the night just to make you people happy, as well as myself. T-T My forums have returned! YEAH!! I could have really done without the rants issue, though, in the process. So confusing. I owe a debt of eternal gratitude towards both David and Khuffie, webmasters of Zelda Legends and who I'm convinced now are the greatest people on earth. Bow down to them, MagicFox commands it foolish mortals!
COMMENTARY - Amazing, after the sheer terror and aggrivation I've went through tonight, I still have a joke or two in me. This includes the little joke of an avatar I made a while back and will be using for a while on the forums. XD My "Huh? What?"-confused-Zero-Enna avvy. You'll just have to see it to know what I'm talking about. Please, after all the trouble I've went through, visit and joins my beloved forums and help return them to their previous glory.

January 16, 2004 | MagicFox Got Noticed - So People Do Read Her Rants - LOL!
UPDATES MADE - *None
CURRENT NEWS - Regarding commentary posted on January 14th. Zelda Elements one of my better affiliates caught my rant and made a post regarding it on his own site. ^_^ First, please let me make it "clear". I had no intention for such a strong sounding rant to come through. I type about a little issue and that is what came out. I did it more for a few laughs than anything, however the points I made I do indeed mean and will stand by them. Nexus Zero stood by many of points, of which I was greatful. However, please let it be known that when I mentioned Zelda Elements or any of the other sites, I did not mention who was the "trend starter". Actually, I believe Zelda Elements or Zelda Universe was the initial trend starter for the games section design. Also, I wasn't comparing the top sites, I was comparing the top sites with n00b sites. The top sites are usually the trend setters. LOL, and actually Zero, I did indeed enjoy your comment about my drop down menus. Yes, they are cluttered and I am thinking of a new solution but at the end of the day let me throw this back at you - in all good humor - at least mine's more original than yours. The same with my "mini-splash". I'm not complaining about the splash images, I'm saying that too many people are using your type. I was at a site the other day and I thought they did something pretty original, simliar to my own, and I did like it, they posted game information and had a bunch of screenshots below it. Certain things can't help look the same (there needs to be an intro picture or things come out a little bland like in GDT's case) but at least add something "different". Don't make it full span and don't make it fade at the bottom and "DON'T" use the same images everyone else is using... if you can help it.
I would also like to expand on one idea that I stated regarding the walkthroughs being made by other people. I don't think it is a bad idea nor do I question their quality. However, when you don't see a single site (not a single one that I've ever been through) that claims the walkthrough to be written for "their" site... I have to say "something". True writing walkthroughs are a pain in the butt... but then... why are you hosting a gaming site anyway?
Expanding another point that made me jump when I read it on your site, Nexus... ack! I screwed up when I said that about sites specializing in mostly articles. This point was "only" directed at the newbie sites. I have already acknowledged in an e-mail to you that yours is the scope of how many games you cover. And Zelda Universe simply keeps me going back for more. Ganon's Tower... is questionable. And I'm sorry but I have a personal problem with GDT so I don't often visit and will retain comments about that site. Please forgive me on that point. You are indeed correct and I offer my sincerest apologies to everyone. Here's a revised version of what I meant: Zelda Legends already specializes in articles on Timelines and there's one or two other sites. I know everyone's fascination with the timeline theories but it seems to me more and more n00b sites are being created to focus on this idea or too many of them are side-tracking and posting too much. I have my own personal opinions about the timeline - it's a bunch of nonscence. Actually... now that I think about it... does Zelda Elements even feature anything on timelines? Zelda Universe has articles on everything. So.. this was the blatant mistake of a humored and heated moment.
As for "does it matter that they are largely similar". <_< >_> If they were similar why the heck should I go to your site when I can just stay at that site and get all the information they would offer anyway. I don't think the Zelda sites should be similar. There's obviously certain portions they are going to be but at least try to offer more content than the other and think of a neater way of presenting it. However, when I had mentioned sites being similar I was mostly speaking about the "lack" of content and the "lack" of originality. I don't know who started the trend so I'm not going to point fingers at anyone (I would certainly get offended if people started copying my site and then say "I" was copying) I'm just stating the opinion in hope that things will get better.
^_^ And Nexus stood up with me for the rest of my opinions, and if the rest of you don't, please read my starting statment: if you don't like my opinions, why don't you try changing them on your site rather than trying to tell me how I should think - that ISN'T going to change, especially when my points are valid.
COMMENTARY - Please, I invite you all to read Nexus Zero's post regarding my thoughts. ^_^ I found it very entertaining. Please, though, keep in mind that when I'm posting smilies and laughing that usually means it's suppose to be light hearted and fun and is not going into too much depth. I have a lot of more to say about sites than just that, to be honest, but I had only wanted one paragraph on the subject to sorta get me going with restating my opinions and jokes in my commentaries. Honestly, if I knew I was going to be quoted, Nexus, I think I would have made it a little neater. ^_^ Wheee ::spins around in her chair:: that was fun. Now, for all n00bs thinking of starting a Z site, please keep these points in mind. At least make the effort of loading up your old OoS game and taking the effort to find all the places you can plant Gasha seeds for example. Or perhaps get into LttP and listen to all the story tellers stories and post them up on your site.
"Always outspoken" XD I could glomp him for that. ;) You are pretty outspoken, too, and I usually enjoy reading your own points of views. I'm glad you enjoyed mine.

January 16, 2004 | Enjoying This Update Everyday Thing? I Hope It Continues, Too
UPDATES MADE - The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons - Heart Piece Locations *Images Added
CURRENT NEWS - I also touched up some of the descriptions for this a little bit. I noticed I had an error in the one for Spool Swamp saying Level 2 dungeon when it had meant to be a Level 3. *Sigh* I'm human, mistakes happen.
COMMENTARY - Isn't it wonderful? An update every day. I'm pretty sure the weekends though will shatter it since it's hard for me to focus when I know it's only a matter of time before my sister says "give me the computer!" Also, in regard to the forums: they will be up VERY soon. More than likely tonight. I have a question to ask Nightwolf (who has become a semi-assistant) and once it's answered I can finish setting the up. Yes, "ME" with lots of help from our host David of Zelda Legends and some from Nightwolf - no, he would have helped more but he got stuck when there was a server error and David took over.

January 16, 2004 | Half A Zelda Wish Comes True For Many Fans - Including Me!
UPDATES MADE - *None
CURRENT NEWS - On the 13th, news leaked out regarding Famicom (NES) titles being re-released. On the 14th, the news became official. Ten Famicom titles will be released for the GBA as well as a Famicom style GBA. Ten titles in all, the list includes Bomberman, Donkey Kong, Excitebike, Ice Climber, Legend of Zelda, Mappy, Pac-Man, Star Soldier, Super Mario Brothers, and Xevious. The games are scheduled for Japan release February 14th. No news yet on the release to America or UK. They will cost 2000 yen (the equivelent to $18). The GBA, however, will cost 12,500 yen ($110).
COMMENTARY - I don't know about the GBA but I do know that I want that LoZ game. XD I don't know how many times me and a bunch of my buddies have stated how much we wanted Zelda 1 and 2 to be released for GBA. I know one half of my dream has come true. And if it costs as low as that over here as well I think I can scrape up that kind of money. Yeah, Nintendo!! <3

January 15, 2004 | Were You Afraid I Wouldn't Update? Getting Spoiled, Aren't You?
UPDATES MADE - The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Heart Piece Locations *Page Revamped (with pictures!)
CURRENT NEWS - One of our oldest pages, added in the first year, got revamped. Not only does it offer more description but I have also added up new pictures. Please enjoy. I know that the guide before had been rather shoddy work but now it is up to MCLoZ standards.
COMMENTARY - LOL, I was trying to decide what to do pictures for first OoS or OoA when I thought "should I do heart pieces? If I do for these sections I should do the same for the LttP and Z4 sections at least." Wondering if that was a good idea I just went to check out the LttP Hearts Guide and got to reading it when I realized <_< >_> how BAD it was. LOL, I'm sorry. I didn't think that it had been "that" bad. Well, now it's upgraded and with pictures. I don't know if I will add pics to the Z4 section, that's still up in the air, but now all locational pics for the LttP section has pics and I plan to do the same for the OoS and OoA sections. So, no doubt it's coming. Pictures just make the pages look nice and makes things easier for people to understand, even if they are a pain to gather (which explains the slowness of today's update).

January 14, 2004 | Huzzah!! Banzai!! Hooray!! Whatever Way You Say It, Say It!!
UPDATES MADE - The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Sprite Gallery *New Sprites Added (Done!) ~ Zelda Secrets and Oddities *Added OoT: (#57) "Funniest Noise" by Ashila | MM: (#38) "Evan's Piano Music" by The Eighth Sage | TWW: (#9) "Answer to Mysteriously Appearing Figurines" by The Eighth Sage ~ Link's Infinite List of Torture *Item #60 by Rich ~ The Beta Zelda Files - Comments by Fans *Comment on OoT File 17 by The Eighth Sage
CURRENT NEWS - Whee, a bunch of stuff I have been meaning to put up on the site, just sorta stashed away in my mailbox. ^_^ Pretty good stuff. Ok, most of it is commmon sense but it's always good to have it up just in case someone doesn't know it. and they are good for fun, like the LILoT (aka Torture) Item. ~ Three cheers!! I finished putting up all of HyperLink's sprites!! w00t!! Go me!!
COMMENTARY - Yeah, so, go celebrate! Or... download... or whatever. By the way, did any of you actually read my rather long rant. ^_^ I have to wonder if anyone ever does read them or are too daunted by the size. You know, I make them like that on purpose, so I don't have to fear offending too many people and have masses of hate mail waiting for me in my mail box. ::Runs off:: Whee, Tata everyone!!

January 14, 2004 | Haven't Had A Rant In A While... I Know! -Zelda Site Content- Hee
UPDATES MADE - The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Sprites Gallery *New Sprites Added ~ Introduction to the Castle *Updated
CURRENT NEWS - Alright, I have one more batch of Sprites and then we will be all done with HyperLink's zip file. Once again, give lots of thanks to him for really expanding what was once a pathetic gallery. You will notice that there are even a few Z3 unrelated ones in there. ~ I took a look at the Introduction and... I had to burst out laughing. The poor thing had not been updated since I still had the staff listed in the navi bar and had the anime section going. It has been updated and is now more of a "about this site".
COMMENTARY - Alright, I mentioned yesterday that it's been a while since I've said anything funny or amusing down here or even went on one of my long rants. ^_^ Now, please these are just my feelings - if you get offended then perhaps you should try changing what I mention here instead of trying to change my opinions.
Have you ever noticed how most Zelda sites, 99%, have the SAME content. Honestly! Compare Zelda Universe to Zelda Elements, then to Ganon's Tower, now just pick some random "other" site say... Ganon's Realm. They have Walkthroughs (not even theirs), Heart Pieces, screenshots, Instruction booklet, maybe Items Lists, and Boss strategies, but apart from that - not much else. I know this because I go around looking for affiliates and <_< >_> I can't affiliate with anyone because they have about three strategy related links in each game section but the rest is just stuff most people already know. Come on, even in the OoA and OoS not a single one of them have bothered to put up Gasha Seed Locations (no, wait, Great Deku Tree did, so count them out.) And it doesn't just stop there, the design is relatively the same. Big official art picture with the release date beside each nation's flag and Publishers, Extras, and the picture fades down at the bottom and goes into the links you can find under Information, Game Strategy, and some other section I can't think of at the moment, with three or so links beneath each of these sections. I find it hillarious!! I certainly didn't have much trouble adding in a bit of originality and I'm about the most uncreative person in the world. And then all of these sites seem to specialize in the very same thing - Articles... and namely articles on Timelines.
Well, I guess that is the end of my rant. ^_^ My I had fun. I hope in the future Zelda sites will decide to get out of this rut of a trend and follow their own style. I certainly have and it's gotten me quite far. I do have a tiny explanation for why they follow this trend though - when you don't know how to do art too well, nor know how to do HTML, you look at anothers site, copy the codes and bend it around that. ^_^ I get a laugh out of these tiny people. So, for my affiliates list, I'm afraid it's going to remain quite tiny for quite a while until some of these people start wisening up. Tata, everyone!!

January 13, 2004 | And Another Tiny Dump In The Bucket - In Need Of Staff!!
UPDATES MADE - The Legends of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Sprite Gallery *50+ New Sprites Added
CURRENT NEWS - The next batch might take a bit longer to get up since I'm going to do some redecorating to that page. The last few files are animated and there's some miscellaneous stuff. So, I'll be dividing things into sections.
In Need of Section Writers In need of three staff members who are willing to work any/all games (namely The Wind Waker). Also must be willing to download game roms to snag pictures for needed sections at my request. Deadlines: at least 2 strategy pages every Saturday - can be from among any in the group. Or requested material at other specified time. Please e-mail if interested with requested material stated in "Join the Staff" page. Must be willing to work with up to three other people (myself included).
In Need of Walkthrough Writers In need of at least one, possibly three, who are willing to do needed walkthroughs for the site. Must be willing to work with up to three other people (myself included). Walkthroughs can be done in joint with other members as well. Deadlines: one project part, at least, every saturday - can be from among any in the group. Please e-mail if interested with requested material stated in "Join the Staff" page.
Please read "Join the Staff" for full rules and details.
COMMENTARY - Ok, I think that just about covers everything... did I miss anything? Hrrrm. ::Looks around:: ... I suppose now you want me to do something funny, go off on a long rant, or do something MagicFox-ish. Hrrrm.... Bleh, I can't think of the last time I did something funny here. I'll think about doing it next time. Oh? You want something funny now... ::Looks around:: Hrrrm.... ::grabs the ears of her two current walkthrough writers and pulls them along behind her:: I have a bone to pick with you two. ::Looks at the viewers:: Is this funny enough? Witnessing the torture of my staff members who are soon about to be "ex" if they don't turn something in VERY soon.

January 12, 2004 | Weekend Bust? After A Full Week Of Updates - I Think Not!
UPDATES MADE - The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Sprites Gallery *24 New Sprites Added
CURRENT NEWS - And still more to come. Please be patient while I get them up a pack at a time. ~ What's happened to the strategy updates? No, no worries. I know I have them to do. However, I've noticed some discrepencies in my notes and I'm going through OoA game again to check up on what the heck I did wrong. Also, I'm trying to get some photos to go with these OoS and OoA locations. So, be patient. I'm working. ~ -_- Note on the Forums: My host Josh is being a b****** and I don't think I can rely on him to get it done. I "think" I have someone still willing to help me out but it's looking like MagicFox is going to have to take a crash course in learning how to do this stuff. @_@ This could get ugly...
COMMENTARY - Do NOT complain about there being no weekend updates. Bleh, after all the updates from last week I deserved a vacation, plus, at the moment, I've got my writing assignment to complete and turn in, so don't give me any jib. I'm working as hard as I can! Updates this week have a chance of being sparse but you can keep hopes high. I'm having writers' block -_- that really makes the situation sway your way. T-T I hate not having any good ideas.

January 9, 2004 | And The Second Zip File Brings Us To The Total Of 203 Midis!
UPDATES MADE - MCLoZ's Midi Player *7 New Mids: OoT - 4, MM - 3
CURRENT NEWS - And of course these new midis are placed at the bottom of their sections. ^_^ Many thanks goes out to HyperLink for these wonderful midis! I, too, need to get on the ball again and go around to midi sites to see what I can pick up.
COMMENTARY - 203! Can you believe it? Finally!! And they are very nice tunes - of course! I don't put junk on my site. LOL, though. Out of a zip file that held 81 midis... I could only find 7 that we didn't have. ::Shrugs:: ^_^ I suppose that's a good thing, though, huh? Well... tomorrow... sprites... though, these might come a bit at a time. o_o There's a lot!

January 9, 2004 | My Mailbox Is Filled With Stuff From HyperLink - Emptying Slowly
UPDATES MADE - The Beta Zelda Files - Comments by Fans *Comments Added: OoT Files 3, 5, 6, 57, and 61 by HyperLink | MM Files 7 and 8 by HyperLink ~ Zelda Secrets and Oddities *Oddities Added: LttP (#34) "Easy Lanmola Kill" by Skullrama | OoT (#56) "Inside the Tower Walls" by HyperLink
CURRENT NEWS - As you can see, you've got your reading cut out for you with a few insightful reads about TBZF and then a strategy FAQ by Skullrama that o_o not even I knew (and don't think I'm not going to test it out, Skull!!) and then by HyperLink a wonderful glitch that was a great help back in the day proving many Triforce Theories wrong.
COMMENTARY - @_@ Maybe I should do a contributor of the month type of thing. If I did, HyperLink would definitely win January's. He has sent me two zips of Z midis (only one I have went through) all of those Beta Comments and the Oddity, and also in store for you guys, a zip file of sprites! ^_^ I've got lots of work to do! Tata!

January 8, 2004 | Sorry For The Lack Of Updates Yesterday - Here's A Treat
UPDATES MADE - MCLoZ's Midi Player *3 CD-I Midis, 1 LA Midi, 4 OoT Midis, and 5 Z Remix Midis Added
CURRENT NEWS - With much thanks out to HyperLink for e-mailing me a zip file of midis, most of which were already up on the list, we have 13 new midis added to the list! They are all at the bottom of each category. He has sent me another zip file of midis but I haven't had the chance to open it yet, so there may be more forthcoming.
COMMENTARY - Because Max spent the day writing, MCLoZ didn't get updated when I have quite a bit of stuff to do. I'm sorry, but I hope this makes up for it. ^_^ 13 new midis bringing the grand total to 196 midis on the Midi List (which means only 4 away from 200). And yes I still hate this screen. >_< It's now red tint and it's been screwing with my eyes going from way dark, to green (it's favorite), to red, and then the left edge likes to blink in time with any music that I play. *Sigh* -_- It's got issues. What do you expect from something ten years old. <_< >_> How come it's still working when the four year old one isn't? That still baffles me.

January 7, 2004 | No Updates Yesterday... Wonder Why? The Unthinkable
UPDATES MADE - *None (but prolly later)
CURRENT NEWS - This is prolly more for commentary but it's more news as well. Ok, I have made no secret of the fact my computer is very old (it's as old as MCLoZ which was hatched the same year). For the past few months the moniter has been... out of whack but it was managable as long as it got through its fits <_< but >_> yesterday -_- T-T it went out! Now, get the irony of this, I'm now stuck with the monitor we had "before" the previous one which we've had since I was about... oh... nine or ten (went to our first computer). It still works but for minor bugs... first -_- it likes to change color. I'm now staring at everything green tinted. The monitor is tiny and having it at my res looks like 1024x768. Plus it needs a clean up job. The earliest my parents can even "think" of getting a new one is not until mid-February and that is prolly very unlikely. -_- So, I'm stuck with this ancient relic and will have to make do the best that I can. How will it effect updates - I dunno. I can prolly handle the general stuff but in the way of putting up new pages with a bit of new artwork... well, I'm going to be very slow in that area. I have a computer behind me (though its a dark screen) that I can view the pages on first but since someone's usually on it I'm going to be very slow about things. How it will effect things I dunno but I'm very very stubborn and very surly at the moment so of course I'm not going to want to be on all the time.
COMMENTARY - I will do my best, give me patience. I am VERY angry. I want my monitor back >_<. I will try my very best to be patient with this one and please - when I say that an update is going to come slow, there's nothing I can do about it. Most of the stuff like Oddities and so forth don't require visuals but certain things might (like the walkthroughs with their pictures). It might not effect us at all and I'm just mad but... ::shrugs:: That's the news. The new year starts out crappy for me.

January 5, 2004 | With Some Thanks To Another, A Project Continues!
UPDATES MADE - The Beta Zelda Files: Ocarina of Time *Files 51-63 Added and Files 5 and 28 updated
CURRENT NEWS - Much thanks goes out to Barry of Zelda Central (one of our affiliates) who gave me a site that, though in Portugese, had some wonderful Beta pictures on display. I took a few and have added them up into our own gallery (and of course the link to the 'contributor' is on every page).
COMMENTARY - In order to view the contributing site Hylian Legends you will need a translator since it's in Portugese. Barry also gave me help with this. I dunno if it's the best out there or not but it's the only one I've ever heard of so I'll just go ahead and post the link here for those slow people like me: world.altavista.com. Well, have a great day, everyone. Tata!! (More to be coming later, more than likely.)

January 4, 2004 | New Investigation
UPDATES MADE - Doh's Investigations *December 2003 Edition Added
CURRENT NEWS - At long last after a while of waiting the latest installment of Doh's Investigations has been added. December 2003's edition is entitled "Possible Nintendo Sequals" - It's a nice light hearted edition for the Christmas period and even though a month late you can pretend it's Christmas. It's worth a read even if it isn't Christmas! Also Max has reversed the listing of the investigations on the Investigations main page, so the most recent investigation is at the top of the list.
COMMENTARY - So did any of you spot the other update on the site before I posted? Did you? If you did then congrats, if you didn't then um...go have a look at the Investigations. Anyway, the investigation added must be by far my most sadest and weirdest one to date. But still worth a read =P Well I'm getting bored now, bye for now, look out for my future Investigations!

January 3, 2004 | I Open My E-mail Box Tonight And Get A Wonderful Surprise
UPDATES MADE - The Zelda Fan-Fiction Library *"The Star Pendant" by PrincessZelda13 Added
CURRENT NEWS - A wonderful new fan-fiction that would appear to be unfinished thus far. I myself look forward to further chapters to this wonderful story. ^_^ Be sure you read it fan-fiction lovers. ~ <_< >_> Shhhh... there's another update on the site. See if you can locate it before the other appropriate staff member announces it ^_^. At least I hope he decides to update about it. *sigh*
COMMENTARY - XD It's a fan-fiction!! I love stories (being, of course, a writer myself). *Sigh* I love all fan submissions, though, I suppose. What is better fan-art or fan-fiction? Hrrrm... no, I can't decide. Not to mention the comics, cos-play pics, and midis people have submitted. I encourage everyone to send in whatever fan thing that they have, as long as it's Zelda related and appropriate for all ages!

January 3, 2004 | Max Found Something Really Nice - 183 And Counting!!
UPDATES MADE - LoZ Feature Fan-Art *Updated ~ The MCLoZ Midi Player *Z CD-I Midis Added
CURRENT NEWS - I found some midis from the CD-I games. They are located beneath "Zelda II: The Adventure of Link" section. Well... if the games are anything like the music, though, no wonder they are considered aweful. Still, it's three more to my collection.
COMMENTARY - Did you know that counting only the midis (and not the two waves and mp3 at the bottom of the list) that in total we now have 183 midis loaded up into the MCLoZ Midi Player? Well... WE DO! 17 more to go to get to 200!! And no, don't worry, that does not mean I'm just going to put junk up to fill up the count. ::Rolls her eyes:: The count doesn't mean that much to me. It's just a neat fact. If you can find any site that can beat my midi collection I'll... <_< >_> ^_^ I'll give you a special treat. ::Wonders what she'd give them:: LOL and if they have the very same midis loaded up as mine, forget it, doesn't count. Well, anyways, Tata!! ((<-- MagicFox's famous good-bye saying... but you knew that already, didn't you?))

January 3, 2004 | Good Morning... Here's A Small Breakfast To Start Off The Day
UPDATES MADE - The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages - Secret Ring Locations *Added ~ The Zelda Fan-Art Gallery *3 New Pics Added by Crazyfreak
CURRENT NEWS - Oracle of Ages finally has the directions for all those (well, only a few) rings hidden around the world in past and present times. ~ Crazyfreak has more fan-art to show off. I will more than likely put the Link and Zelda one up for the feature fan-art. So expect that later today along with quite a bit more.
COMMENTARY - Working... working... <_< I'm up early, yes. -_- Unfortunately since I'm still kinda sick I didn't get to sleep until like 4 AM and woke up at 7 AM to do all this stuff. T-T Max needs sleep. *Sigh* I'll try a nap later today and see if that helps any. But right now, making a topic about breakfast reminds me... I'm kinda hungry. Tata!!

January 2, 2004 | Good News To The Ears Of All UK Residents, I'm Sure
UPDATES MADE - *Zelda Quick News
CURRENT NEWS - For all UK Residents: the Zelda Collector's Edition is once more available to you. In order to obtain this wonderful bonus disk you must buy at least one game from the following: Eternal Darkness, F-Zero GX, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, 1080 Avalanche or Mario Party 5. Or buy two games from the following: Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, StarFox Adventures or Mario Party 4. Whatever choice you take you must then send your proof of purchase to Nintendo Service Centre no later than February 27th.
Nintendo Zelda Promotion, Nintendo Service Centre, Codestorm House, Walton Road, Farlington, Hampshire, PO6 1TR Happy game buying!! Might not be the best deal out there but if you missed your chance the first time, it's certainly better than nothing. I'm still of the opinion they should just offer it as a single disc to everyone.
COMMENTARY - Ok, yeah, I'm not a UK Resident, so I have to thank Zelda Elements, my affiliate, who posted this article on his site and I decided to post it on MCLoZ, too. I'm not from UK but I know quite a few of my viewers that are. Besides, Zelda is not solely an American game anyway and it's just right that I post this on my site for everyone else. ^_^ Spreading the Zelda cheer. LOL

January 2, 2004 | Getting Back On Track - How About Some Oddities?
UPDATES MADE - Zelda Secrets and Oddities *OoT: (#18) "Answer to 'Kaepora's a Sage?'" by Y Link | MM: (#37) "Tortus???" by Matthew | ZCE: (#1) "Paralyzed Link" by ChameleonLizard3
CURRENT NEWS - The first two are theories. Interesting really ^_^ and worth a look anyways. Now, before you guys go "what's ZCE?" here's the answer: ZCE = Zelda Collector's Edition. Though not a number game I made a section for it just like I did Four Swords for LttP just 'cause it's a game and these oddities might not work in the real editions. So thank Chammy for opening a new section for you guys to view and post in. And if anyone wants to test whether this works in the real edition they are welcome to send the results of that oddity in as well.
COMMENTARY - The first two were Oddities that I had floating in my mailbox since early december. Sorry for not posting them but with all the troubles... *sigh*. ^_^ Don't worry. If I get your e-mail I will put it up or send you an e-mail expressing why I would not put it up. >_> I'm still feeling very under the weather today but don't worry, I'm going to go and get back to work. Hrrm... I wonder what I will do.

January 1, 2004 | Happy New Years - Hopefully This Year Will Be Better
UPDATES MADE - *News Archives Updated With December 03 ~ Zela Poll *Updated
CURRENT NEWS - ^_^ It's a new year! Hopefully a new year full of great stuff for our beloved games the Zelda series. Also, hopefully a new year full of better stuff for MCLoZ. I guess we'll see. ~ In true tradition, thanking guestbook signers: link's guest. And in answer to your question though it applied to only the last design, there are 9 games and there's only so much space I can fit things. Some sites try to squeeze it all in but I don't like such sloppiness. However, because of your signing I did make sure to mark the list above clearly in this design with "FULL Z LIST".
Later: After posting the forums note I mention in the commentary I decided to go ahead and change the Zelda Poll. A basic question, really, but for lack of one better it will suffice. It is still quite a good question, though.
COMMENTARY - And this to those who are refinding their way back to MCLoZ - yes we have moved (duh!). I apologize for the AWEFUL problem before and I can guarentee it will not happen again on this domain which is being supported by our new host David Butler of Zelda Legends. THE FORUMS ARE NOT WORKING! I'm going to fix the link above after this update to lead to such a note. I have not found someone yet who could help me transfer the forums. I would like to not lose any previous information. We'll see. No promises. Until then, Tata!!
