Work to be done at the forums. September 23, 2005, 6:11 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Nine new images added to the Image Gallery, all Official Art for Four Swords Adventures. Enjoy! (And in case anyone noticed... I had a little error crop up this morning with the pictures I added yesterday. Sorry if any comments were lost and any inconvenience it might have caused.) Working on something for the forums. If any errors occur I apologize and it will be fixed ASAP. Reminders: Be sure to visit our Forums, and submit to our Mailbag!
Commentary: The trailer for the upcoming Chronicles of Narnia: Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is looking pretty good. I'm very apprehensive about it. I watched the cartoon of LWW when I was a kid and ADORED it and only recently picked up the book and love it too. The major faults I have with the books, though, is they don't go into "too" much detail. So, I actually don't think I'll have too much to hold against the movie. I'm kinda looking forward to it, and you know how I am with book-turned-movies. ^_^;; (In case you don't know, I usually hate them with a passion. Don't get me started on LotR.)

Commentary: So, I'm going to really put some work into our image gallery now. Wish me luck everyone! ^_^ God this gallery makes things so easy.

Project done! Was it worth the effort in the end? September 16, 2005, 8:32 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: ^_^ Ok, finally, the new page is complete. Honestly, I'm not too sure that in the end the means and the trouble truly justify the final product which wasn't meant to be "spectacular" just... "fun". Anyways... Now announcing The MCLoZ Mailbag! And in addition, we now have a special page that sorta conjoins with it, the Zelda Facts and FAQs. Enjoy!! Reminders: Be sure to visit our Forums and our Image Gallery!
Commentary: I really really hope I can get this mailbag idea to work. I have seen a few sites that attempted it and it either came out wonderfully in the end or... it failed horribly. ^_^ Send in your e-mails everyone!
So... why DID it take so long? Well, the Facts and FAQs page is a project unto itself and I've been working on it for the last few months trying to come up with the questions. But... the biggest problem at the last moment:
The e-mail account mailbag@mcloz.net is the reason. For some reason I just COULDN'T either get it to work at first and have mail sent to it (I realized a spelling error a day later after waiting 24 hours to see if there was an "activation" period.) And after that I couldn't get mail to forward to my other mailbox (to make things go easier on me) and waited another day trying to see if there was an activation period for that as well. Was just about to give it up all together...

Not exactly Zelda news but it does tie in with its future. September 16, 2005, 6:56 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: OK, permit me. It is gaming related and I think you all know what it's about. The new Revolution Controller was reveiled at Tokyo Game Show 2005. Now, I know we all want to scream bloody murder at first, but, I really actually like it. Sure it's not a pretty thing but so far from all that I've read there is a big emphasis on "protype". No doubt, the design will change. However, I really do like the idea of "tilting" the controller as well as adding buttons on it. ^_^ The controller will no longer enhibit the developers. And I said it before and I say it again. I believed very heavily that Zelda's future and Miyamoto's radio comment had everything to do with what the controller was hiding. ^_^ I can't wait to see what Miyamoto has planned for the future of Zelda. To discuss this more with us, visit the Thread on our forums. All opinions are welcome!!
Commentary: Uhh... as for my update.... it's been stalled while I take care of a little problem that cropped up. I think I fixed it and it will either be posted up today or tomorrow. Tch... go figure....

I hate the Minish Cap Now... September 13, 2005, 7:03 PM EST by Dethl'sShadow
Updates: The section for that evil little game called "The Minish Cap" is now enhanced with a Kinstone fusing guide, complete with pretty little pictures. Reminders: Be sure to visit our Forums and our Image Gallery!
Commentary: I never knew playing a game for free could be so annoying...taking pictures with a ROM is now on my Top 50 list of the most hellish things in the world. Right next to having an incurable throat infection, like I do now, and having to do written assignments in school...for GYM CLASS. (Seriously, what is WITH those?)

Blah!! It's taking too long! I want this done now! September 11, 2005, 7:39 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: So, since it's taking too long, I decided to just go ahead and give you guys a wonderful "while you wait" treat. ^_^ Sixteen new midis have been added to the Midi Player (and the Music and Sounds page). Six new midis were added to TWW's list. Two added to FSA. And eight were added to TMC. That shoots our list from 246 midis to 262! o_o I'm almost at 300. XD w00t!! Reminders: Be sure to visit our Forums and our Image Gallery!
Commentary: Yes, I know how much you guys LOVE my midi player so I thought, even if you don't like the new page that I have planned for you guys, at least you got something good out of this, yes? ^_^ That means, more tracks for me to listen to when I get tired of listening to my J-Pop. So, it serves us all. Enjoy everyone!!

New interview with Aonuma confirms timeline spot. September 10, 2005, 11:24 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: A new interview with Eiji Aonuma reveals several important facts. None, I think, more important than the tidbit for all you timeline believers. EGM: Where does Twilight Princess fall in the overall Zelda timeline?
EA: It takes place [a few decades] after Ocarina of Time [N64], but this game is not specifically a sequel. That being said, we're thinking that, because it's several decades after Ocarina, it's possible some of the characters from that game might still be alive in this world. And there you have it. Maybe this will stop the tussle between whether it comes after OoT or TWW and what will happen during the game. Obviously it seems that while it does come after OoT, the events are probably unconnected and it may be that we will not see a "prequel" to TWW. But the fun doesn't stop there. Click the link and be sure to read the full interview for even more interesting facts. Reminders: Be sure to visit our Forums and our Image Gallery!
Commentary: XD Link? Holding a lantern? I've seen a few screenshots of that already but - that's soooo CUTE! >_> Talk to his horse? Aonuma, that was SUCH a spoiler -_- not that half of us didn't expect it anyway.
Also, yes, forgive me, I've disappeared again. Not really. It's just a huge project that I'm working on that is really two-parts. It's going to take a while. Maybe released Tuesday? Dunno... I'm working on it, though.

I'm lazy. September 6, 2005, 8:05 PM EST by Dethl'sShadow
Updates: There's...uh...some...more...ah...pictures...in the Items section. Not all of them, but most...or something...Feh. Bite me. Reminders: Be sure to visit our Forums and our Image Gallery!
Commentary: Like I said, I'm lazy. I don't like work. I'd much rather my day be solely focused on playing video games and running. Then I'd be all happy. But no. All this ROMing has to keep me away from Xenogears. FEH.
...Ignore that...or something...

My email is empty. Almost time to start my new page. September 5, 2005, 6:52 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Zelda Secrets and Oddities - Peculiar Game Glitches *LttP/FS: "Flute Oddity" by AvikaW | OoT: "Leave Navi Behind" by Jonathan | TWW: "Freeze the Game" by peteyboo | FSA: "Tingle Goes Swimming" by martin foy. Zelda Secrets and Oddities - Unusual Tips and Tricks *LttP: "Skip Level 2" by Franklin | TWW: "Item Stealing" by Triforce_Hunter. Zelda Secrets and Oddities - Strange Observations *TWW: "Switcharoo" by glitch50. Sorry, this time it took a while to get these up. A few that were in my mailbox were not added but since they were so old, I didn't write the "rejected" e-mails. I apologize, but if you don't see the one you sent in to me then you might want to recheck the list because it's probably already up there and I don't place up copies. Reminders: Be sure to visit our Forums and our Image Gallery!
Commentary: Ok, now, I just have to complete Dethl's latest staff submittion and then I can get to work on the thing that I most want to work on. I've got a few things up my sleeve this month and I'm really anxious to try to get them both off the ground.... :\ I hope it all works out.

The last Zelda game as we know it? September 4, 2005, 12:40 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Many are not sure whether this "talk show" is a fake or truth, however, I have always found GameCube Europe to be highly reliable. Recently, Miyamoto was interviewed on a talk show where he answered some questions about Mario 128, the Revolution, and Twilight Princess. Perhaps the most disturbing part of it all is the following line: The new Zelda, it's not really good news that...
Please allow me to interrupt you by saying that you will have to be patient, really. This will be, without a doubt, the last Zelda game as you know it in its present form.o_O Spooky? Mysterious? Yeah... I'm starting to feel a little anxious all of a sudden and I wonder what it might be that Miyamoto has up his sleeve. It is NOT the last Zelda game, just something is going to dramatically change obviously. Will it be as simple as something as the fighting engine or perhaps the whole future of the Zelda games? Whatever it is, we can only put our trust in Miyamoto.
Commentary: I think it just has something to do with Revolution. There's a secret about Revolution and whatever it is Miyamoto is planning on incorporating it into Zelda and changing things around a little bit. Well... I think I'll trust him.
... I feel so sorry for poor StarTear's post. ^_^ Please be sure to read below for further added updates today... :\ I drowned her out....

Welcome newbies and old MCLoZ Veterans. September 4, 2005, 12:14 PM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: Today's updates include: Zeruda no Densetsu Manga page updated with fan submitted information about Akira Himegawa. Thanks again, Liana, and sorry I didn't get around to this sooner. Link's Infinite List of Tortures *Items 231 - 239 added by energy ring, Professor Tolkien, Athelin, Kathryn Vance, superfiercelink, Psycho Link, Zelda maniac, and Brandon Twombly. Reminders: Be sure to visit our Forums and our Image Gallery!
Commentary: An interest IM conversation brought something to my attention last night. People are starting to wonder if I have lost interest in MCLoZ. I think it's time to write up one of my old "Welcome To's" that I used to post occassionally. No, I have not lost interest. In fact in many ways I'm more interested than when I first started six years ago.
Welcome to Midnight Castle's Legends of Zelda, to all those who are new and my old veterans. I am Maxine MagicFox, the creator and webmaster of MCLoZ for the last six years of its life. During your stay, here are a few activities you may find are the more popular around the site:
- The MCLoZ Midi Player - with over 200+ midis available.
- Zelda Secrets and Oddities - full of glitches and observations sent in by fans.
- Link's Infinite List of Torture - an ongoing list full of the many ways to hurt and/or kill Link in ALL of the games.
- Outside the Dungeon - StarTear's new articles. Check back every two weeks for a new article covering everything from the Zelda community to the new upcoming games.
- MCLoZ's Zelda Forums - Recently reopened and doing wonderfully!
- MCLoZ's Image Gallery - newly opened and ready to receive new fan art as well as constantly updated with new Twilight Princess images!
The goal of MCLoZ is to supply you with the latest Zelda news and the best cheats and techniques for getting through the game. I have a lot planned for this month as well. More images to the Image Gallery as well as new midis to add to The Midi Player. I'm also currently writing a Zelda FAQ full of interesting questions Zelda fans may have asked or just general tips if you don't want to cheat but need a little extra help with the game. And, as always, to work on my poor suffering To-Do List. Please, do not take my abscene as a sign that I have left. I actually plan to work really hard this month. School is back in, my work schedule is going to become more routine, and my doctor appointments are becoming farther and farther apart. ^_^ ::Lifts a wine glass:: Here is to a better month at MCLoZ! And thank you for your continued patronage!

One day late. Bleh... what's one day? Nothing! Honest! September 2, 2005, 7:25 AM EST by Maxine MagicFox
Updates: And, as I do at the start of each and every month, all of last month's update records have been added to the Update Archive. And now, for the more important news that so many of you now enjoy and come to expect: This month's Anime and Manga Review is on one of my more favorite mangas Ultra Maniac. I believe the second volume is coming out soon, so this would be a great oppertunity to catch a title and begin following it while it's still young. And I have a special surprise that I'm sure you have noticed if you already checked the Reviews page. Introducing: Mangaka and Seiyuu Lookout Edition 1. These will be randomly released whenever I feel like it and will carry information on a mangaka and seiyuu of my choice in which I will talk a little bit about them, give them a little history if I could find it, and list many of their titles, or at least their more popular ones. What is Mangaka and Seiyuu?? These two words and their definitions have been added to the "What is Anime and Manga" page. Enjoy everyone ^_^! And don't forget! Be sure to visit our Forums!
Commentary: And now, for a brief moment of silence for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Please excuse me if I offend anyone but: may God be with them and watching over them. They are all in my prayers.
