Usable Items

The Minish Cap AKA Ezlo, it can shrink Link to Minish size at certain places, and can also be used like a parachute to glide through the air. |

Smith's Sword Ordinary sword for cutting things, such as grass, Cucoos, and, of course, enemies. |
 |
White Sword A more powerful sword that can split Link in two. Once upgraded, it can split Link into three. |
 |
Four Sword A very powerful sword that can create three copies of Link. |
 |
Small Shield Basic shield for defense. Blocks weak attacks, but isn't much use against boss-grade assaults. |

Mirror Shield A more powerful shield. Location: After completing the "Goron Quest" to get the fourth bottle (see Kinstones Guide-coming soon!) you will be able to fuse Kinstones with one of the Gorons in the cave, awakening Biggoron on Veil Falls. Speak to him, and you'll lose your shield for a while. When you get it back, it will have become the Mirror Shield. Note: you must have completed the game (I.E: defeated Vaati) to get the Mirror Shield. |

Gust Jar Strange item that can be used like a vacuum to suck in and spit out various objects. |

Cane of Pacci Magic cane that can flip over large objects as well as launch Link out of holes in the ground. |

Boomerang Can be thrown to damage enemies. Always returns. Location: Buy it from the shop in Hyrule Town for 300 Rupees. |

Magical Boomerang A better boomerang that you can control. Location: Fuse Kinstones with the four Tingle brothers to open up four trees in north Hyrule Field. Enter each tree and step on the switch in each to reveal a ladder leading to the Magic Boomerang. |

Mole Mitts Unusual gloves that allow Link to dig through almost anything. |
 |
Flame Lantern Odd device that both lights up dark areas and lights objects on fire. |

Bombs A requirement for any Zelda game, they blow up, destroying walls, floors, and enemies. |

Remote Bombs Bombs that can be placed exactly where you want them, and only explode when you say so. Location: Fuse Kinstones with the Minish Elder, then return to the man you originally got the bombs from. He'll give the Remote Bombs. You can return them for normal bombs at any time. |

Pegasus Boots Special footwear that lets you execute a dash attack. |

Roc's Cape A cape that allows you to fly over holes, water, and the like. |

Ocarina of Wind Playing it calls a bird to fly you to Wind Crests. |

First Bottle In Trilby Highlands, go down the ladder just south of the entrance from Hyrule Town. Bomb the wall on the right between the torches. In the next chamber, use your shield to knock out the Business Scrub, then buy the bottle from him. |

Second Bottle In the cafe, flip over a vase and use it to shrink to Minish size. Climb a set of small stairs in the back and go across the bookcases and enter a small door. Go across to planks, then cross over to the item store. Go across more planks to find a downwards stairway. You'll come out behind the counter. Grow to normal size and pick up the bottle. Talk to the store owner and he'll give you the bottle for free on the condition that you feed his dog. Go to the place marked on your map and examine the dog bowl to feed the dog and get the bottle. |

Third Bottle Fuse Kinstones with Link's grandfather to make a chest appear in Lon Lon Ranch. Inside is the third bottle. |

Fourth Bottle Fuse Kinstones with five Mysterious Walls and a farmer to summon Gorons to a cave in Lon Lon Ranch. Once all fusions have been done, go through the cave for the bottle. See the Kinstones guide (coming soon!) for locations. |

Light Arrows More powerful arrows that can be charged to cause greater damage. Location: Fuse Kinstones with the "Stranger" in the yellow-roofed house on the west side of Hyrule Town. A portal will appear near Link's house. Step into it and climb up in the house to find an old man haunted by a ghost. Suck away the ghost with the Gust Jar, then return later in the game to receive the Light Arrows. |

Swordsman's newsletter A series of eight publications by Swiftblade about fighting enemies. Location: Fuse Kinstones with the postman running around Hyrule Town. Then talk to the female worker in the post office to buy each issue for 200 Rupees. |

Figurines Statues of characters and enemies from the game. Location: In the tree in the southwest corner of Hyrule Town. You'll need to trade more and more shells as you collect more figurines. |

Bread A hearty snack that may or may not contain a Kinstone Piece. Location: Purchase at the Hyrule Town Bakery (the red building in the upper-right of the central square). There are four varities:

Fairies An ordinary fairy. Restores a little health, and automatically revives you when you die. |

Dog Food A bottlefull of food for a dog. Location: See 'Bottles' in the Useable Items section. |

Lon Lon Milk Restores a little health, and can be used twice. Buy it from Malon in Hyrule Town for 100 Rupees. |
 |
Water Plain water that can be found almost anywhere. Can be used to put out fires and make beans grow on Mt. Crenel. |
 |
Spring Water Special water found on Mt. Crenel that can make green beans grow. |
 |
Blue Potion Restores some health. Buy it from Maple in the Minish Woods for 60 Rupees. |
 |
Red Potion Fully restores your health. Is also purchased from Maple for 150 Rupees. |

Picolyte When you have the Gust Jar, use it to clear away dust covering the lower-right carpet in the central area of Hyrule Town. Soon, Beedle will set up shop there. Initially, you can only buy three types of Picolyte. To get the other three types, you'll need some Lon Lon Milk, some Red Potion, and some Spring Water. Go to Minish Village and enter the barrel on the east side. There will be a Minish standing where the Jabber Nut was. Talk to him twice, and give him the Lon Lon Milk. Leave the building and wait for a while. Once the yellow bud has bloomed, you can give him the Red Potion. Wait again, then give him the Spring Water. Once he's done with all three items, Beedle will be selling all six varieties of Picolyte.

Din's Charm Temporarily enhances your attack power. |

Nayru's Charm Temporarily enhances your defense. |

Farore's Charm Temporarily enhances both your attack and defense. |

Joy Butterflies You can't actually keep these in your bottle, but you must use a bottle to catch them. After fusing Kinstones with Din, Nayru, or Farore to make Ingo appear, fuse Kinstones again with each of them to make three Joy Butterflies appear in different places in Hyrule. One will allow you to fire arrows faster, one will allow you to dig with the mole Mitts faster, and the last one will allow you to swim faster. |
