Stray Fairy Locations
Clock Town
- At the Laundry Pool in South Clock Town. Can catch it at any time.
- At night, use the Deku Flower in East Clock Town to catch it.
Deku Palace
- (Room 1) The entrance - Floating slightly in front of the platform when you first enter.
- Same room - Inside a treasure chest on the southeast platform.
- (Room 2) Room north of Room 1 - Appears on the platform outside the door to Room 1. To make the chest appear, you must reach the switch in the northwest corner of the room (high up).
- Same room - At the southeast corner in a pot.
- Same room - Kill the Deku Baba at the west door.
- Same room - On the upper ledge near the north door.
- (Room 3) Room east of Room 2 - On the north wall on a statue's mouth is a beehive. Shoot it to release a fairy.
- (Room 4) Room west of Room 2 - Under the platform with the rock you must push. Shoot it with an arrow to pop the bubble.
- Same room - on the lower level in the northwest corner is a Skulltula. Kill it to save a captured fairy.
- Same room - On the second level on the platform in the middle of the room there is a beehive. Shoot it with an arrow.
- (Room 5) Go up the stairs from Room 4 and go into the west room. Kill all the Black Boes to reveal a chest that contains this fabulous prize!
- Last room, north of room 2 - In the second alcove on the east side of the south wall.
- Same room - In the 3rd alcove on the east side of the south wall. (Closest to the door.)
- Same room - In the last alcove on the south wall on the west side of the wall (farthest from the door.)
- Same room - Floating around a platform near the middle of the room.
Snowhead Temple
- (Room 1) The room east of the entrance - Underneath a pillar in the middle of the room. You must pop its bubble to get it.
- Same room - Underneat the platform to the north stairway. Once again you must pop its bubble.
- (Room 2) The room west of the entrance - On a ledge in a treasure chest to the southeast corner.
- Same room - To the west wall is a crate on a pillar. Move the block to the empty pillar to jump onto the crate and do a Goron pound.
- (Room 3) Room north of Room 2 - On the north ledge in a treasure chest. (To get it, the block must first be pushed so that you can jump from the south ledge - accessed by pushing the block in Room 2 to get onto the north ledge and entering the doorway - onto the block and then onto the next ledge where the chest is.)
- (Room 4) North of Room 3 - Kill the three Freezards to reveal a chest.
- (Room 5) In the basement accessed by the stairs in the "Central Room" on Floor 1 - Step on the switch in the lava (used the Goron mask so you won't get hurt) to reveal a chest in another lava pit.
- "Central Room" Floor 2 - It is at the northwest of the room hidden in the shadows. However, you must wait until you reach Goht's doorway to get to it. There will be a Deku Flower there. Use that and slowly (with a lot of patience) drift down to it.
- (Room 6) East of "Central Room" Floor 2 - ::Laughs:: I just learned something new!! Ok this one is hanging around in a chest in an alcove on the north wall in a treasure chest. I forget how I did it, but I used the hookshot somehow ... looking at the "Nintendo Power" hint book there is a secret I missed. Apparently...there's hidden stairs you can only see with the Lens of Truth. *Cough* I would use that way and not what I did. ::continues, laughing at her own ignorance::
- Same room - Hanging out in the northwest corner of the room waiting around for you to grab it and carry it home.
- (Room 7) South of "Central Room" Floor 2 - "Look up in the sky" IT'S A FAIRY...uhh...it's a ceiling. Actually, use the Lens of Truth to see the bubble-trapped fairy.
- (Room 8) west of Room 7 - South? or southeast? wall. It is in a treasure chest in a hidden cave marked only by an ice patch on the wall.
- (Room 9) East of "Central Room" Floor 3 - Kill the Eenos and use the Lens of Truth on the southwest wall to find another ice-patched-marked alcove in the wall. Use the arrow and the mask to get it.
- (Room 10) Go up the stairs in Room 9 - Kill one of the Dinofols to free the captured fairy it holds.
- Same room - Now, kill the othern, too! These guys must be brothers and fairy-kidnapping must run in the family. (Oh, and guess what...YOU'RE DONE!)
Great Bay Temple
*Note: These are in no order according to going through the temple and the waterway flow. It is up to you to get into the room and to get them!
- (Room 1) The "Turtle" room - In a treasure chest that appears when you light the 4 torches.
- (Room 2) Room north of Room 1 - Kill the Skulltula in the southwest corner of the room.
- Same room - Under the platform you stand on when you enter through the south door in a bubble.
- (Room 3) North of Room 2 - On the west wall in a barrel. Use the current to get you there.
- Same room - You have to drift down to the bottom floor. It is in that jar right in the middle. Can you get it? Just use your boomerang attack. It isn't easy but..."practice makes perfect". (Couldn't resist.)
- (Room 4) The southeast underwater-way of Room 3 on the basement floor - Under the water-gear.
- Same room - Stand right in front of the water way on the northwest corner and shoot it with your boomerang.
- (Room 5) The water way above Room 4's - In a jar on the east wall.
- (Room 6) On the map, it is the room east of Room 5 - Climb the green pipe to reach a chest in the southwest corner.
- Same room - Under the seesaw in the northwest corner of the room. Must have the bottom portion up. Then dive down in the Zora mask and break the barrel open.
- (Room 7) North of Room 6 - In a treasure chest in the southeast corner of the room. Use the hookshot from the platform on the lamp to get to it.
- Same room - Stop the windmill gear and make your way across to a small alcove in the north wall that houses a treasure chest.
- (Room 8) The room that is connected to the waterways from Rooms 5 and 7 and another room west of Room 3 - Stand on the platform and stare into the water at the corner jutting out at the east. There are two Dexihands and a jar. Use the hookshot and the mask on the jar to get your fairy!
- (Room 9) Go through the south door of Room 8 - Kill the Bio Deku Babas to reveal a chest.
- (Room 10) The room north of Room 3 - Hookshot up to the grate above. Use the Ice Arrow to create a patch near the hole in the northwest corner and come at the target from an angle (done with major practice). It is in a chest up there.
(Grrr...did I make a mess of this temple, or what! So many turns and what not I got lost. If you find a mistake, please tell me. I'm also going to give the "Nintendo Power" Hint Book thanks to this one for helping me a little. I hope I got all the doorways right and whatnot.)
Stone Tower Temple
I will give lots of thanks to the Nintendo Power magazine. This is pretty much directly from the book. I like the way they have it set up and it is just easier to do it this way. However, I'm adding my own few alterations. So, I'm not going to fool you. I got help here.
Chests Summoned And Opened Right-side up:
- (Room 1) The room you enter into - Fire an arrow into the eye on top of the statue to make a chest appear.
- (Room 2) Room north of the room east of Room 1 - Shine light onto the proper sun symbol on the wall to make a chest appear.
- Same room - Shine light onto the Sun Block to open the way into a hall.
- (Room 3) Room north of Room 2 - Fly to a ledge situated in the middle of the room. (Be careful.)
- Same room - This one is insanely difficult to get, but don't worry...it only took me three tries. You have to be Darmani. Smash the block in that is near the entrance and roll carefully, but speedily, around the room to reach the switch on the other end. Be easy with the roll so you won't bump into anything...pace yourself. Hit the switch to make the fire around the chest diappear.
- (Room 4) Room south of the room west of Room 3 - The book says use a bomb...but I think I somehow used arrows...either way... On the grating you will see a crystal switch. Activate it by laying a bomb near to make a chest appear...or however you do it.
- (Room 5) Room south of Room 4 - Defeat the Eyegore. (FAIRY SNATCHER!!)
- Same room - Use your enemy to your advantage!! Have the Dexihand sling you up to dry land and throw a bomb inside the fence to activate the switch and then swim over back to the other side and hit the Sun Block with a light arrow and go in to receive your reward.
- (Room 6) Down in the basement reached by the room east of Rooms 1 and 5 - Use the target by the northwest corner to hop onto a ledge to reach it.
Chests Summoned Normal And Opened Up-side down:
- (Room 7) Second Floor of Room 8 actually (check below for directions) - At the bottom of the pool are a bunch of mines covering a switch. Hit them with your boomerangs to destroy them and get the switch. Flip the place, leave a statue on the switch that will extinguish the fire above and fly up to that chest.
Chests Summoned And Opened Up-side down:
- Room 1 - The switch you can actually hit at any time, but the chest appear up-side down.
- (Room 8) Room east of Room 1 - Shoot the sun to make the chest appear. Then, get the chest in the north hallway.
- (Room 9) Go up the stairs to the second floor - Destroy the wizrobe!!
Chests Summoned Flipped and Opened Normal:
- Room 1 - There is an Armos statue in a corner that is guarding a switch. Hit that switch and then turn things right-side up to get the chest that appeared.
- Basement of Room 8 - I think you shine a light on a Sun Symbol to make this one appear and then flip it all right-side up to get it. (Not very helpful sorry, but the book didn't off much.)
Guess what!! WE'RE DONE!! If you find any errors, or need more discription, please e-mail me and I will fix this section in whatever way possible. Believe me, this is not an easy thing to do. Lots of thanks to the hint book!!
