Wind Waker Item Locations/Info
Telescope Aryll gives this to you within the first few minutes of the game, as it's your birthday she lends it to you for the day. The telescope, obviously allows you to look at things that are too far away to see normally.
Sword (Beginning) Given to you on Outset by Orca (the sword guy), before you go rescue Tetra stuck in the forests. The Sword is used to cut grass, hit enemies and even bounce back projectiles.
Master Sword The Master Sword is found (but I'm not going to give away the location), there are three stages to the Master Sword. At first when you pick up the Master Sword its powers have gone and blade is blunt, so you have to go to two dungeons to get its powers restored. When the Master sword is fully restored it will glow.
Shield Link's Grandmother gives you this before you leave Outset to save Aryll who's in the Forsaken Fortress. The Shield can stop/block enemies from htting you.
Mirror Shield It wouldn't be Zelda without a sheild upgrade would it? The Mirror shield is found in the Earth Temple, it does exactly what the shield does, but it also reflects light.
Sail You can buy the sail on Windfall Island. It makes your boat (Sea King) move, simple as that.
Wind Waker One of the most important items in the game is just given to you at such a random point. You arrive at Dragon Roost Island and then the boat just suddenly decides to give it to you. It is used to control the winds and also good to open some doors with.
Bottles There are four in total that you can receive, you can get your first from Medli outsite the first Dungeon (Dragon Roost Cavern). You can also get one on Windfall.
Grappling Hook Received in Dragon Roost Cavern (D1) after much battling away. With this you can latch onto a piece of wood/poles so that you can swing or climb to another area. It can also be used as a crane when on the boat, good for picking up treasure and the tri...erm I'll stop there.
Deku Leaf The Great Deku Tree gives this to you after saving him from the Chu Chu's. It allows to fly/glide to unreachable areas. But be warned it consumes your magic!
Boomerang A useful piece of kit, it allows you to stun enemies, grab things from far away or hit switches. It is found in the Forbidden Woods (D2) after battling a stubborn moth like boss.
Bombs Found aboard the pirate ship when it's at Windfall, you need to find Niko and complete one of his useless tasks. Guess what? They blow things up, that's all they're useful for. You start of with a bomb bag with a max of 30 in it but you can get upgrades to and then the max amount of bombs you can carry is 99 (where does Link keep all this stuff?).
Hero's Bow Yes the Bow and Arrows return! They can be found in the Tower of the Gods. You can also upgrade the bow, so it fires both Fire and Ice arrows and then towards the end of the game you receive the Light arrows, all of these take up magic.
Skull Hammer You win this when you return to Forsaken Fortress, it's good for hitting things and if you really want to I'm sure someone will give a job as a carpenter with this (though sadly if you want this to happen you will have find a game that allows you to this).
